Description of activity undertaken (please be as specific as possible)

The student completed a period of research on their chosen brand/product including basic history, prior advertising, SWOT analysis, place in market and target audience; participated in several ideas creation workshops; developed a range of advertising ideas, and used the material and knowledge gained to develop a presentation pitch for a TV Commercial production. How the activity meets the requirements of the assessment and grading criteria (please explain how the learner met the criteria and the qualitative aspects of their performance)

Louis was professionally dressed and had a good strong opening to his presentation. He spoke clearly, had good eye contact and body positioning throughout. His pace of delivery was excellent and the level of engagement with the audience was high. He covered all the relevant material making effective use of appropriate subject terminology and combining relevant text with images, graphs and charts effectively. The presentation was obviously proof read and spell/grammar checked but there was the occasional error. His product history was concise and most of the presentation time was focused on how his primary and secondary research and enquiry into past marketing strategy had informed the pitch he was presenting.
