Facts – not able to speak English:

• Regional language is common and always spoken in daily life.

• Teachers are not properly trained and are not confident.

• Teacher students ratio is causing ineffectiveness.

• Students do not have exposure to English apart from school syllabus.

Objective • Language is best learned at a younger

age.

• Students need to learn communicative English at young age.

• Learning is through Listening—Speaking—Reading—Writing ( LSRW)

• Parents’ involvement will help their learning too.

Learning Method • Listening—teacher speaks and students listen

• Speaking—Students repeat, chant, practice, Role play

• Reading—Read through specially designed books

• Vocabulary—Vocabulary will improve through LSRW

• Grammar—Grammar will improve through listening, reading and sentence formation.

• Writing—learn to write

Technology Barrier

• Unreliable electricity

• Irregular or no connectivity of internet

• Cannot use smart boards or digital support.

• High cost involved to overcome these problems

Infrastructure

• No separate infrastructure is required

• Preplanned lessons to be taught in respective classrooms as per the designed curriculum.

• Parents’ mobile phones to be preloaded with practice lessons (Audio)

• Teachers training in advance –for next six months curriculum

• More focus on learning and it’s outcome

• Easy, enjoyable, useful, practical curriculum to arouse interest in learner

• Age wise curriculum to have smooth flow in learning

Teachers play an important role

• All English teacher to go through training program

• One teacher for 350 to 400 students

• Teacher needs to attend the training (3 to 5 working days)

• Maximum 30 teachers per training schedule

• Assessments and Role plays based professional training for attending teachers.

Teaching and Learning

• Lessons to be taught as per the preplanned course in schools.

• 3 to 5 hours of teaching in a week for each classroom as per age group.

• Play and learn for 1st to 5th standard.

• Students to understand, learn in school and listen to lessons on mobile phones for access, whenever convenient when they’re at home.

What do we achieve? • Student will develop confidence to speak in English

(Global Language).

• Parents will be satisfied that their child speaks in English

• English is a user language through which children will make use of computers to access information online/offline.

• Government needs to provide teachers with training infrastructure

• Government needs to provide refreshments for participants for all the training days.

• Regular periodic teacher’s training, manuals and assessment

• Lessons recording in parent’s mobile phone

• All required books and material for students and teachers

• Regular periodic assessment of teachers and students

• Close looped system to assess the performance and correction

• Development guaranteed with responsibility and accountability.
