Notice is hereby given that the M100 Voting System Equipment that will be used in the General Election to be held on November 3, 2020 will be tested beginning October 6, 2020 at 10:00 o’clock a.m. in Room G-5 of the Limestone County Courthouse and continuing each day thereafter in Room G-5 until completion to ascertain that the equipment will accurately count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures.

OCTOBER 3 - Fallen Heroes 5K at the Fairfield fairgrounds to benefit first-responders hosted by the Damon Allen Foundation. Directions are available online at fallenheroes5kfunrun.itsyourrace.com. Proceeds from the event will go to the Damon C. Allen Foundation, which helps first-responders with emergency needs. The 5K Run/1 Mile Walk begins at 7:30 a.m. Registration may be done online at the website above; those who don’t register online may get their registration packet the day of the run. Regular registration is $35 through Aug. 12. After that, registration is $40 through race day. A virtual registration is $30. Virtual participants may run and submit their results anytime between Aug. 3 and Oct. 3. Result time must be submitted no later than 9 a.m on Oct. 3. OCTOBER 8 - 6:00 p.m. - Springfield Hall Event Center - Pastor Steve Friskup’s life turned upside with a recent viral Facebook post. He was led to post his views and importance of life in rural Texas on August 17th while traveling back home from a horse auction. You know our Lord works like this. One thought of his that struck us was the important and vital role of rural Texans in the pursuit of Defending Texas Values. The Massey Foundation traced Mr. Friskup to his home in Muleshoe and he has agreed to share his views and thoughts of the obligations of rural Texans to our state and country. Come to find out, many area folks know Mr. Friskup in the trade of horses and all verify his character. Please email us if you plan to attend.
