  • The great part is no previous experience is necessary to join your local US Army Rugby Korea team. Presently there are enough experienced team members who are experienced to train non-experienced players. Biggest focus for new players is to omit all knowledge of football prior to playing rugby and to be relatively in good shape due to the demands of the game, explains Captain Palacios. The cost to join is free but members need to go to USARugby.org and register for a CIP number which costs thirty five dollars and also need to pay ninety eight thousand WON for a kit, team jersey, shorts and socks. If youre interested in joining your local rugby team join by; sending a message to US Army Rugby Koreas Facebook, email [email protected], or contact Captain Palacios at 010-2731-8441 or email him on his Global email account. Another way to join is show up at practice. USAG Yongsans Rugby practice is held on every Tuesday from 2000-2130 at Field #12 next Collier Community Fitness Center Parking Lot and every Saturday from 1000-1200 at Seoul American High School Field. Community members are welcome to participate by attending games and cheering from the sidelines. The next rugby opportunity will be held either the twelfth of nineteenth of November featuring an EXPACT team and Military rugby team at the Seoul American High School Field. Dates can be verified at the above contact information tools. Thank you to Captain Palacios for making a positive impact to our community and I hope to see all US Military Instillations have a rugby team in the near future. In observance of National Public Health Week (07-13 April), we will be going over steps that you can take to lead a healthier life. Have you ever sat down and asked yourself when the last time you went to the doctors for a physical was? Still thinking, well if you cannot remember then it is a good chance that you are due for a checkup. Many will argue that an annual physical is a waste of time and or money, but in hindsight it One thing that is important to consider is

family history. Knowing your family history can help you better understand your health and focus on prevention. During a physical is the best time when you should discuss with your doctor your family history. Providing your physician with family history of illnesses will help them grasp an overall picture of your health. This will allow the physician to understand what necessary steps and tests to conduct in order to focus on safe guarding your health.

The thought of being diagnosed with a chronic illness often scares us and will prevent us from taking the necessary measures to safe guard our health. I am sure many of us know of a family member that has been diagnosed with diabetes, cancer or some other chronic illness. The thought of knowing this information scares humans and will leave them to think that something like that could never happen to them. However, when in reality, anything could happen if the preventative steps are not taken.

One thing I would suggest, and what many other doctors would suggest is to get blood work done. Worried about the cost? Don't be, many health insurance companies will pay for blood work to be conducted at least once a year. (However, always check with your health plan to confirm.) Having blood work conducted enables us to know where we currently stand and what improvements can be made. Many improvements can be made to a person's health through regular physical activity and adjusting their diet. However, key thing to remember is early detection and education will determine the path you lead later in life.

    I

will close this article with a thought to ponder: It's your HEALTH, what are you going to do

    about it?

    Is Your Body in Check?

is a good way to maintain a relationship with your physician. I am physically active, therefore I am healthy is the conclusion that many of us will come to as an attempt to escape the doctor's office. However, often times we will look physically healthy on the outside, but do not know what our body is experiencing internally.
