Kaitlyn Achieves her Goal!
Pictured in the photo are: Kaitlyn, and

My name is Kaitlyn Piquette and I am 25 years old. I
graduated from the General Arts course in 2018 with a
certificate from St. Lawrence College with the Communi-
ty Integration Cooperative Education Program. I also
participated in the Job Path course which was the very
first training session of a six week course with Communi-
ty Living Stormont County. I discovered my job interest,
resume writing, customer service and my learning style
through fun and interactive activities. I had perfect at-
tendance!
The one goal that I always wanted to achieve since gradu-
ating from High School was to get a paying job. Since I
took cake decorating courses at Michael’s my dream job
was to work at Cakes N More. Therefore Nicole the Com-
munity Placement Co-Ordinator with Employment Con-
nector’s through CLSC approached Gilles Gaudet at
Cakes N More and in partnership with Job Zone my
dream job is now a reality!!!!! I have a job at Cakes N
More as a kitchen helper. I am working alongside with
Gilles who is very patient, helpful and fun to work with
completing assigned duties. I help out with the dishes,
folding boxes as well as assisting making cookies, muf-
fins, cupcakes mm smells good in here and it even tastes
scrumptious too. My co-workers are very friendly, sup-
portive and give great customer service too!!!
It is a win win situation as I have a paying job finally and
Gilles says he gets to go home early, yeah right lol. My
advice to you is to never give up on your dream!!!!!!!
A huge welcome to Joan who moved into the
Lasalle location on January 14, 2019. Joan is ad-
justing well to her new home.
Welcome Joan to Lasalle!

On March 29, 2019 The Ingleside/LongSault
Lost Villages Lions Club held a Ladies Night
in support of Community Living Stormont
County. The sold out event boasted 25 ven-
dors, draws and an auction. Also three fash-
ion shows featured new spring lines from Ny-
gard, Chez Therese and Juli Fashions. Mod-
elling for us this year, were Michelle and
Lise, two lovely ladies supported by us. Both
ladies did an outstanding job and both en-
joyed this wonderful opportunity! Chantal
Benoit and Angie McGillis also strutted fash-
ions on the runway. Special thanks to Chris-
tianne, Christine and Kim for volunteering this
year and helping out. Finally, sincere grati-
tude to the Lions Club for their generosity and
hard work in making this event possible. It
truly was a wonderful evening! Proceeds from
the event will go towards purchasing needed
items for individuals we support and for mak-
ing dreams come true.

Sam has a big interest in cats. All staff who work with her provide her with the oppor-
tunity to visit the kittens and cats at the OSPCA on a weekly basis. This photo says it
all.!
