The Halton Regional Police Service is currently seeking maturevolunteers for their Communities on Phone Patrol (C.O.P.P.)program in Oakville. C.O.P.P. volunteers work in groups of twoor more and patrol selected neighbourhoods in their own vehi-cles looking for suspicious activities. Incidents are reported tothe police using a cellular telephone supplied by the Service tothe volunteer. C.O.P.P.members also assist the police at specialevents in the community and with various traffic studies.
Basic Qualifications• Be a minimum of 19 years of age• Resident of Oakville• Have a valid drivers licence• Available for a minimum of 8 hours per month• Two year commitment to the program
Qualified candidates will be interviewed and subject to a back-ground check.
