IRWIN COMMUNITY SERVICE COUNCIL NOTES 27 JUNE 2011 Listed below are community updates and comments made from representatives of each agency on post as made during the most recent Community Service Council Meeting that occurred June 27, 2011. (These comments do not necessarily reflect the position or views of Bitter Springs Mayors.) PINNACLE: Over the weekend of June 25-26 th , a water main ruptured in the housing area. Residents called Pinnacle, but it wasn’t until 7 hours later until actual repairs began to correct the problem. Conclusion: According to Col. Pinkerton, residents were correct to call Pinnacle for this situation, and any like it in the future. Pinnacle will assess the situation and notify the controlling agency (in this cas e CH2MHILL). Sometimes crews come from as far as Hesperia, so delays are to be expected. Follow-Up Info: In addition to calling 760-386-HOME, another number residents can call for this type of situation is: 888-419-6499. Pinnacle is actively try ing to fill a Pool Monitor position at Sandy Basin. Call to apply. Houses continue to become available from the builder (average of 15 houses a month). Pool hours will remain the same all summer, even over block leave. The next “Family Movie Night” at Sandy Basin will be Jul y 14t h. Call to RSVP 888-419-6499 ext. 3710. Featuring film Gulliver’s Travels. CYS (Child and Youth Services): Part day camps are ongoing from 09:00-13:00. Prices are reduced from f ull day camps. Call for more information or make reservations: 380-2257. British Soccer Camp will be July 25 th – 29 th . A discount is offered for the second week a child attends. MST (Middle School and Teen Center): Has ongoing trips all summer off post. THE EXCHANGE (PX): Due to mechanical issues, Pizza Hut hopes to open July 1st. BLDG. 21 will have new seating completed in Taco Bell this Friday, July 1st. Game Stop hopes to open in approximately 10 days (July 5 th ). Stock at The Exchange is increasing daily now that the supply chain has been restored. Please don’t horde items; trucks will continue to re-stock more consistently now.
