A description of each stage and the proposed timeframes are outlined below: As you are aware, CSIRO is planning to safely remove a number of buildings at the northern end of the Highett site as part of the Site Clean-up and Demolition Project. Site preparation is nearly complete with demolition and clean-up works now scheduled to start in late March/early April 2016. We would like to thank the community for their patience as we continue planning for this important work and will continue to keep you updated as the project progresses. Demolition Contractor appointed CSIRO is pleased to announce that a demolition contractor has now been appointed and is working closely with CSIRO to plan the works. The first step in the planning for the clean-up and demolition stage is to work with Bayside City Council to obtain all relevant approvals and permits.
