Your Will could prove to be one of the most important documents you ever arrange to be drafted. Those left behind will be glad that you made the effort, and the assets you spent all your life accumulating should end up in the hands of those you intended them to. You may have even been able to avoid some of the complex taxes that can eat away at your estate.

This brochure is designed to help you feel comfortable with using us as a company, help you see how our efforts best serve you and be able to answer the questions you may ask about Will drafting services.

We look forward to helping you with your wishes and making the best efforts that can be made to enable them to be met.

The 7 habits of highly effective Will drafters1. What we do for youBeginning with the result required

A Will drafting company needs to be flexible and efficient as well as operate in the time frames that best suits its clients. We have trained and highly knowledgeable Instruction Takers. We have focused our systems on ‘beginning with the result required’.

The result required is a crafted Will based on current legislation, bespoke to the client who is giving the instruction. This, being achieved in a time frame that suits the Instruction Takers workwith their client, is our focus. Together with high quality materials and experience spanning 25 years, this makes us different to the average Will drafting services available.

Our services include:Basic Wills, Estate Protection Trust Wills, Free Rewrites, Lasting and General Powers of Attorney, Severance of Tenancy, Document Storage, Prepaid Funeral Plans, Living Wills, Lifetime Trusts andProbate Services.

2. Our history is your reassuranceUnderstanding clients wishes before explaining the solutions

Headed up by a husband and wife team, Stephen & Tracey Oliver, The Will Company has drafted over 20,000 Wills since their inception in 1995. Stephen’s background is as a Financial Adviser, so he understands the importance of taking instructions with Estate Planning in mind. He heads up the marketing and training side of the company. Understanding clients wishes before explaining the solutions is a vital part of the training needed to help achieve a superior result.

Tracey heads up the legal side and her knowledge is often called upon to help those training in the industry. Advanced Will drafting knowledge is required and Tracey has been able to amass experience above and beyond some of the best in the business.Serving over 700 Financial Advisers across England, Wales & Northern Ireland, has led to a breadth of knowledge that is difficult to find even with the largest of Solicitors firms. The “STEP” exam Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation is a minimum requirement of our drafters.

3. Our guarantee to youPutting you first as a client is paramount

Your documents will be drafted in 5 working days or less. Initial drafts are available for accuracy assessment and we will ensure originals are sent to your Instruction Taker within 48 hours of your acceptance of drafts.

We will refund 100% of any fees received if asked to do so. Unless you are completely satisfied with our work we promise to stand by our guarantee to refund all the fees received. This is our way of showing our commitment to our clients.‘Putting you first as a client is paramount’.

4. Our philosophy Constant application to hone our skills

We undertake to constantly be studying the latest legislation in our industry and our desire to always be up to date with the current issues that relate to Wills can only be achieved by regular study and the‘constant application to hone our skills’.

Continuous Professional Development is a standard requirement in many industries. Ours is no different. We undertake to keep abreast of current and up and coming issues in our industry. Running training courses for Financial Advisers helps us focus on the needs of their clients and creates a natural environment of learning and development.

We have ‘STEP’ qualified drafters who are constantly reviewing the quality of our drafting. We have full membership with the Society of Will Writers and are compliant with their code of practice. Our Instruction Takers are also compliant with the code and display the ‘Safe to do business with’ Code Compliant logo.

5. Our outlookA proactive approach

Our industry is always evolving. To be effective we need to be proactive, constantly preparing for new products and their uses. We have developed systems to enable Instruction Takers to rely on us giving feedback before it needs to be asked for. This enables planning to take place and care of our clients’ expectations is extremely important.

We are able to under promise and over deliver due to our ‘proactive approach’ to the drafting process. These are important documents with far reaching effects. A Will could be in existence for many years so needs to be legally robust and in good condition. Our storage arrangements allow for protection of other documents too, acting as a safeguard of the documents. We also offer unlimited free rewrites. This is almost unheard of in our industry.

6. PartnershipsWin-win scenarios

By working with professional advisers, clients will get the best of both worlds. They get exceptional service backed up with high levels of knowledge and advice. Solicitors tend to charge more than us and are less involved with the personal issues that impact the planning process.

We consider our offering to be a ‘win-win scenario’ for all parties. Dovetailing our offering with planning and knowledgecreates a final product with all the right parties considered.

7. TestimonialsCreating synergy

Our history with advisers and their clients enables us to ‘create synergy’ for all parties involved ensuring a better outcome for us all. Here are some comments made about us by our partners:
