When it comes to oversized loads, competitiveness is not the only driver.Attention to details and on-site coordination plays a defining role on the perception of the customer.With in-house engineers and also having subcontracted the most qualified naval-engineering firms, we are able to tackle any maritime challenge.Our highly-engaged personnel ensure the best technical standards are always followed at the field.
In addition to our multimodal transporta-tion division, Baggio also works as Brokers for lower added-value cargoes, such as commodities, steel products, forestry products, etc. The fact that these goods are often shipped on the same vessels that carry project cargoes enhances our prestige and bargain power with the shipowners of this sector. In addition to that, this allows us to create voyages of our own, when frequen-tly we combine Bulk, Breakbulk and Project cargoes to generate solutions to more than one customer.
On top of transporting goods from Point A to Point B, we also employ multipurpose and ocean specialized vessels for the offshore utilization.Whether it’s a pipe-laying job, repair works on a platform or transshipping goods to other ships, our know-how and engineering support is able to create innovative solutions.

TRANsPORT OF 400 MT BOILER FROM ITALY TO ksA
Provision of Sea Freight services for the delivery of 1x Macchi SpA boiler from Venice port to Al Jubail Commercial port, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Boiler weighing almost 400Tons and its accessories for a total cargo weight of 483Mtons was shipped from FAS Porto Marghera Venice to Free Out Jubail port.
A suitable dedicated RO/RO vessel MV Condock was chartered.
gLNg AUsTRALIA PIPELINE
Long-term contract consisting on the full chartering of 16 Handysi-ze Vessels for the transportation of 42’’ FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) Coated pipes for the Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas Project.
The pipeline extends from Injune in central Queensland to the new liquid natural gas plant on Curtis Island, having 435 kilometers of extension.

This section aims to showcase the most important jobs we have executed within the recent years, in order to show - in practice - the wide range of capabilities we informed herein. Our sense of customer-care allows us to excel highly qualified bids, against companies of different sizes and natio-nalities, enabling us to serve our clients on such interesting jobs.

The technical capabilities we disclosed so far with actual performed jobs.
Project consisted on the construc-tion and installation of topside modules onto 2 hulls that were converted from VLCC’s to FPSO’s.
Baggio performed the multimodal transportation for various Break Bulk shipments (pancakes, flare tower, pressure vessels and other components).
In addition to shipping the compo-nents for the modules fabrication, Baggio also moved 9 complete topside modules.

Frame Agreement for the provi-sion of Int’l Freight Forwarding & Customs Clearance services for the delivery of Project Material and Equipment for the BS 171 site from EXWL Worldwide to Kuwait on DDP door–to-door import clearance included Kuwait. About 360.000 Freight Units from 2011 to completion of Project.
Example of breakbulk shipment inside the BS 171 frame agreement (image above): 2x 550mt vessels/tanks from FAS - FREE ALONG SIDE conventional Vessel, Mumbai, IN, to DDP Slutcatcher site Kuwait via Shaiba port.
REEL FORwARDINg FORsNAMPROgETTI cO. LTD.
Sea Transport Services of Umbili-cal Reel & Accessories. Transporta-tion of Umbilical Reel and accesso-ries for Arbi 20/23 Gas Project, by sea, from FAS Stowed (L/S/D on account of Baggio S.p.A.) at Nexans Quay Norway to CFR Free on SPMT truck at Jubail Commercial Port (Saudi Arabia).
Appointed Vessel: MV BBC SWITZERLAND, Vessel’s cranes used for loading. Cargo loaded under deck on direct voyage to final destination and delivered on basis Free on Self Propel-led Modular Trailer at Jubail Commercial Port.
Ugh FOR cOMPERj BRAZIL
COMPERJ (Rio de Janeiro’s Petro-chemical Complex) is being built to become one of the biggest Refineries in South America.
Baggio has contracted for the entire transportation of the Break Bulk package of its Hydrogen Generation Unit (UGH), by a Brazi-lian EPC Company.
Several steel structures and heavy lifts were shipped from Asia and Italy to Brazil.
ZOhR PROjEcT INEgYPT
Zohr Gas field is located within the 3,752km2 Shorouk Block, within the Egyptian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), in the Mediterranean Sea. The field is situated more than 150km from the coast.
Our customer was awarded for the Optimised Ramp Up phase of the Zohr Field Development Project.
Baggio was contracted to deliver flexible cable reels alongside the installation vessel, wait for them to be laid subsea, receive the empty reels and ship them to another onshore location.
PERLA AND MAFUMEIRA PROjEcTs
The Mafumeira field is located approximately 30km off the Angolan coast. Our customer was awarded for engineering, procurement and pre-fabrication activities for subsequent offshore modifications and tie-in activities.
The Perla gas field is situated in the Cardon IV block in the Gulf of Venezuela. Our client’s scope of work involves transportation and installation of a hub platform and two satellite platforms.
Baggio was hired for the time-charter of multipurpose ships that served as pipe-carriers, transpor-ting pipes from Onshore Locations to the Installation Vessels.
BELO MONTE hYDROELEcTRIc DAM
Belo Monte is a hydroelectric dam complex currently under construc-tion on the Xingu River in the state of Pará, Brazil. It is on the northern part of the Xingu river. It is the 2nd largest hydroelectric power plant in Brazil and the 4th largest in the planet.
It has an installed capacity of 11.233 megawatts and will power several states in the Midwest and Southwest regions of Brazil.
Baggio was hired for the transpor-tation of several electromechanical components.

STEP 1 : Transport of n. 80 Metro car-shells for the new Honolulu Metro from Hitachi Rail produc-tion plant in Reggio Calabria, Italy to DDP Hitachi Rail plant in Pittsburg, CA, USA for assem-bly. Services include the engine-ering and production of suitable transport beams to allow safe and sound transportation and handling of car-shells.
STEP 2 : Transport of n. 80 fully assembled metro rail-cars on bogies by suitable rail-trailer from Hitachi Rail production plant in Pittsburg, CA, USA to Honolulu port by RO/RO vessel for dischar-ging from trailer on rail via ramp at Metro site.
METRO NEw TAIPEI cITY, TAIPEI, TAIwAN
Transport of n. 2 complete trains, each consisting of n. 4 rail-cars, from Hitachi Rail production plant in Reggio Calabria, Italy to DDP New Taipei City Metro, Taiwan, delivered on rail.
Services included: loading from rail via ramp onto n. 8 rail-trailers to carry cars from Reggio Calabria to Savona port, Italy, sea freight by RO/RO vessel on n. 8 60’rail-mafis from on-loading port to Taipei port via Yokohama. At Taipei train carriages were customs-cleared, transferred onto local rail-trailers and discharged via ramp on rail at destination site.
METRO LIMA, PERU
The Project was awarded by Hitachi Rail to the Baggio SpA / Ricolfi SpA / Mantoan Srl tempo-rary Partnership and covers the forwarding of n. 42 comple-te trains, each consisting of n. 4 cars on bogies, from the Hitachi Rail production plant in Reggio Calabria, Italy to DAP Metro site in Lima, Peru, delivered on rail.
Services include the enginee-ring and production of suitable transport beams to allow safe and sound transportation of cars by low-bed trailer from Reggio Calabria to on-loading port Saler-no for loading on Liner container vessels. A bed of flat-rack contai-ners is laid under deck to accomo-date and secure the rail-cars on they voyage to discharging port of Callao, Peru.

Transport of n. 18 complete and coupled trains, each consisting of n. 3 cars on bogies from the Hitachi Rail production plant in Reggio Calabria, Italy to DAP Metro site in Copenhagen, DK, delivered on rail.
Services include loading via ramp of each coupled Metro train onto Baggio own special rail-trailer, reaching a total convoy length of almost 49 meters ; carriage to on-loading port of Gioia Tauro ; loading of the trailer onto RO/RO Vessel ; sea-freight to Esbjerg port, DK ; unloading and direct DAP delivery on our trailer to final desti-nation, Copenhagen for discharging via ramp on rail at Metro site.

STEP 1 : Transport of n. 130 Metro rail car-shells on transport beams, loaded on low-bed trailers from West Plains, MO, to DAP Hitachi Rail production plant Miami, FL, USA.
STEP 2 : Transport of n. 130 fully assembled rail-cars on bogies, loading on Baggio own rail-trailer, from Hitachi Rail Miami, to 6600 North West 72ave. Hialeah 33166, Miami. The discharging is carried out by means of a suitable ramp directly on rail.
METRO MILANO,ITALY
Transport of n. 30 fully assem-bled Metro Leonardo trains, each consisting of 6 rail-cars on bogies, for a total of n. 180 transports, from Monza railway station to ATM Hub in Milan, delivered on rail. The cars are moved by rail-trailer from Monza to Milan. The loading is carried out by means of a suitable ramp provided by Baggio SpA, the discharging on rail at destination using the ramps available ATM facilities.

Nevertheless, our in-house transport engineering team allows us to avoid a situation of dependency from these said partners.
Often it is Baggio who dictates the safest and most efficient way to perform an operation, leading the way whether it’s a Lifting Plan, Route Study, Seafastening Plan or any other kind of task that requires technical expertise prior to its execution
