Its critical when engaging a contractor to undertake works that they deliver quickly, safely and with a focus on quality and sustainability when dealing with environmental works. Results matter and should be maintainable in the long term. That is why our focus at New Era is long term results. We don’t do a job unless we know the end result will be to the highest standards.

For over 8 years, New Era Total has been located in Portland in Central West NSW. However, our services can extend to any area in NSW, ACT, VIC and QLD. We only source and engage with experienced suppliers and partners to ensure we not only meet but exceed industry benchmark.

Every environment is unique, therefore our approach to our clients is also unique. We provide a tailored assessment and collaborative consultation with our clients in order to achieve an outcome that is sustainable for both our clients and our environment.

At New Era Total, we are continually improving our services, training, technology and equipment to ensure we are at the forefront of what we do.

New Era Total is led by Ryan key who has a passion for the environment as well as 20 years of landscaping, production nursery and horticulture experience.

The people of New Era Total have backgrounds in horticulture, conservation, land management, earthworks, landscaping, vegetation management and customer service.

We lead the way in mine site contracting in the Central West for specialist services including hydromulching, weed spraying, landscaping, maintenance and vegetation management.

COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY PHILOSOPHY

New Era Total management recognises that it is uniquely placed to direct a positive environmental effect through community involvement and education. As a part of our Environmental Management System, New Era Total is committed to making a positive contribution to Australian communities by:

Fostering public understanding of environmental and cultural heritage issues in the wider community through education

Recognition of the primary role of Aboriginal communities in the management of their cultural heritage and the importance of aiding their involvement through consultation and employment

WORK HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGEMENT

New Era Total recognises that our staff are our most valuable asset, and their safety and health is of utmost importance. ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety is the new safety management system standard for organisations wanting to achieve and demonstrate sound Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) / Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) performance (superseding AS 4801:2001 and ISO18001).

Our conformance and certification to these standards mean that our organisation has implemented a system of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC), demonstrating employer due diligence and our commitment to employees, customers, community, and statutory and regulatory bodies.

All New Era Total work is conducted within the parameters of our company WHS Policy and Management System, and we utilise a range of task-related Safe Work Methods Statements (SWMS) for all on-site works. All site staff have completed basic WHS training (‘White Card’) and receive a site-specific safety induction prior to commencing a new project. Many of our staff hold additional technical qualifications such as chemical handling, chainsaw, and machinery operation.
