Scope of work: Two days of traffic counting around Sarit Center, 6 junctions, 1 roundabout (Sarit Center Roundabout) and 10 entries to the parking area. Design of templates and maps showing count locations.
Field logistics: A team of 70 enumerators including 6 team leaders and one supervisor.
Training: Full day of training – an interactive half-day session on counting, classifications, time keeping and half-day training on the spot.
Data processing: Data entry in QPSMR, cleaned, structured and formatted.

Client: Intercontinental Maritime (International provider of marine transportation solutions).
Scope of work: Three weeks of counts and interviews on and around Mombasa Island and the Lake Victoria Area (Kenyan side). Conducted 2,000 interviews and 14 days of counts at 20 locations. RSA mapped out travel patterns in both regions and measured the intensities of traffic flows.
Field logistics: A team of 50 enumerators including 10 team leaders and two supervisor.
Training: Full day of training – an interactive half-day session on counting, interviewing and time keeping.
Data processing: Data processing in SPSS cleaned, structured and formatted.
Report: Analysis of data including maps of traffic flows, intensities and distances.

Client: University of North Carolina Scope of work: The project was an impact
assessment survey on the CT-OVC program as implemented by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Development. It was a second wave assessment on the survey in seven districts of Nairobi, Garissa, Kwale, Kisumu, Migori, Homa Bay and Suba, and involved a total of 1912 households.
Field logistics: Interviewing and recruiting of the enumerators (40), field supervisors (8) and field controllers (2); a total of 136 interviews were administered in the process.
Data processing: Data entry in SPSS, cleaned, structured and formatted.

Client: Private Sector Innovation Program for Health (PSP4H
Scope of work: The overall objective of the study was to learn and document lessons of how a market systems approach might benefit pro-poor health interventions. A case of TUNZA clinic was studied so as to understand the low uptake of essential medicines by the TUNZA providers.
Outcome: The results of the assessment informed PSK on the appropriate pooled procurement model to adopt.

Client: Microsave Scope of work: Conducted a GIS based survey on
perceptions and performance of mobile money agents in three East African countries i.e. Kenya (n=2,400), Tanzania (n=2,000), Uganda (n=2,000) and Bangladesh (n =2400) within 6 months.
Field Logistics: A combination of sampling criteria was used to ensure there was equal representativeness and rural/urban split. We did use GIS location information of agents in all the countries in order to get a robust sample that could allow for statistical analysis of the data collected.
Project Outcome: The outcome of the surveys has helped the setup of Helix Institute located in Nairobi that trains mobile money agent providers on best practices in managing agent networks. We offered technical assistance in Bangladesh data collection including sampling and currently working on the reports.

Client: World Bank Scope of Work: The survey was commissioned by
World Bank to understand the barriers of trade across the region.
Methodology: The survey was conducted in 6 countries (Kenya. Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia and Malawi). We interviewed more than 100 CEO, Product managers from Banks, Insurance Firms, accounting firms across these countries to try and understand different rates applied on different products across the region.
The reports on the survey are underway.

Client: American Institute for Research (AIR) and C.A.B. International (CABI)
Scope of work: The study entails a pilot of qualitative work on the intervention sites, in which 16 focus groups and 20 Key informant interviews is currently being conducted and just concluded GPS mapping of 149 current and future locations of Plantwise clinics in 13 counties in Kenya and an inventory of 5,000 small-holder farmers in the vicinity of the 149 locations for ongoing and future sampling of intervention and control groups.
We are currently conducting a 3 year panel survey among 2,800(ongoing) farmers in the same locations. Information collected among others is contacts, farmers’ details and GPS locations for subsequent follow up survey in the next 3 years.
