The next work cultureFor many years the “driving idea” for office designs has been the studies and empathy on the “culture of work”. Nowadays, the work on any commodity, product, service or experience rest upon the terms of design management and design thinking. This is the next work culture on its way. This human centred approach evolved from Leonardo Da Vinci to our times. This obvious development is actually triggered more by the competitive environment of corporations where each company seeks for inner wisdom and creativity in order to survive. The harsh realities of the market are further forcing companies to compete through their wit and innovative solutions. This brings the human factor into the centre of the work life, bringing an unparalleled dimension to the history of working life. For many years the corporate purchasing of the architecture of furnishing were done on realist, logic, analytic searches amongst the competing suppliers. Today the climate has changed dramatically. Companies are working with well-established architects and interior design offices for creating the new work habitat. A tremendous amount of resource is channelled into creating attractive office interiors; in order to lure the best minds in the market into the talent pool and to provide a pleasing working environment. This is the main denominator of all our approach for the “next work culture”.

Koleksiyon, the brand has over 40 years of experience with design of quality that displays wide range of furniture for operational, executive offices, health, education, hotel, restaurant, cafe, and recreational projects.
Koleksiyon London Headquarters
Koleksiyon’s new flagship showroom in Clerkenwell, London, the home of the global architecture and design industry, utilises its 1000m2 to showcase Koleksiyon’s innovative and advanced design approach and philosophy, enabling architects, designers and end users to experience Koleksiyon designs in person.
The innovative interior of the London showroom is due to Koleksiyon’s unique furniture and design stories as well as its striking interior design; inspired by the wide and green public parks of London, Koleksiyon commissioned a ‘vertical living garden’ designed by Biotecture for the showroom entrance. The whole experience is one of a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can be inspired to create their own interiors from Koleksiyon’s furniture ranges and discuss their ideas in an informal atmosphere.
Koleksiyon Cairo Headquarters
Koleksiyon’s brand new store in Cairo, covering a total of 1300 m2, hosts products designed by both local and international designers that all share Koleksiyon’s approach and commitment to quality. The showroom is located in a new region of the city called ‘New Cairo’ which is widely accepted as the modern business and residential area in the developing city. The new showroom offers design lovers a wide range of furniture for home and office as well as carpets, rugs, glass and porcelain accessories; in addition the shopping experience is complemented by the showroom’s own restaurant.
Since the first days of her establishment, Koleksiyon has been furnishing the headquarters of many international as well as local corporations and brands of great value. Projects such as EFG Hermes headquarters and all branches, Sodic, Philips, BNP Parribas, Giza Systems, Saudi Embassy, Credit Agricole are just a few examples of the many projects won in this brief period.

Social Projects
Almanac of ArchitectureKoleksiyon has overseen the preparation of the Almanac of Architecture. Almanac is one of the few anthologies that surveys contemporary Turkish architecture.
In addition to participating in all architecture and design-related events, Koleksiyon also prioritizes those civic involvement projects that are informative and stimulating.
Design FoundationUnder the leadership of Architect Faruk Malhan, Design Foundation is established by the main partners of Koleksiyon, to enrich the relations between the architects, designers and sectors of the economies. Design Foundation promotes open design, open innovation, open economies, open societies; co-creation, the wisdom of crowds, bringing the outside in, doing less for one of us and in return having more for all of us.
Design Foundation’s first event “Jewellery Design Workshop 1” was entitled “Energy - Telkari - Mardin” which was performed in Mardin / Midyat and Istanbul. The topic of the workshop was Filigree craft, applied by the craftsmen in the Mardin area for 2500 years. Design Foundation is aiming to revive the local economy to enable the craftsmen to continue earning their living through their craft.
