ate If you have decided to sell your home and move

to another one, you are not alone. While the task of moving may feel daunting, the first step in the process is ensuring that you get the best sales price possible for your existing home. The good news is that if you follow the simple 5 step process outlined below, it will be a much easier and efficient process for you. Let’s get started!

Step 1 - Declutter, Declutter, and then Declutter More: As Americans we all have an overabundance of “stuff” in our homes. This stuff clogs up our living space and to potential buyers it makes appear smaller. Additionally, while personal stuff is valued and cherished by you and your family; to a potential buyer it makes it harder for them to picture turning your home into their own. When you are preparing to put your home on the market the best thing you can do is to declutter, declutter and then declutter more. Start with a general sweep and then take time to really consider what needs to be in your space and remove anything that is not essential.

Step 2 - Apply Fresh Paint in Neutral Colors: The cheapest thing you can do to improve the look of your living space, other than decluttering which is essentially free, is to apply paint. You should make it a point to paint as many rooms in the home as possible. Additionally, the paint should be neutral colors which can easily be “lived with” while the new buyers decide how they want to ultimately decorate the space.

Step 3 - Create Amazing Curb Appeal: Your potential buyers will form an opinion of your home the minute they drive up to it. This means

that you must have great curb appeal to start off on the right foot and encourage them to want to come inside and see the rest of the property. While plants and flowers are important, don’t forget simple things like door hardware. If your home has a nice door but dated door hardware, it is a fairly simple and cost effective thing which you can change. You would be surprised at the change from simply changing the door hardware on the front door. Change internal door hardware as well where it appears dated or is just simply ugly looking.

Step 4 - Change Cabinet Hardware: One cheap and easy way to update bathrooms and kitchens is to change cabinet hardware. If you have sturdy and decent looking cabinetry, try changing out the cabinet hardware for an updated look. Sometimes the simple act of changing cabinet hardware can make a kitchen or bathroom appear to have new cabinets.

Step 5 - Use Quality Kitchen and Bath Accessories: Potential buyers view your home with the idea that when they move into it, their lives will improve in many ways. One way you can add to this feeling is by using quality kitchen and bath accessories. It is said that kitchens and bathrooms sell homes. By taking the time to make sure all of your kitchen and bath accessories appear to be high quality and have mass appeal, you can ensure that it contributes to sell your home.

Pacic Energy’s Wood Burning ProductsA Breath of Fresh Air And a GREEN Energy Choice

Go ahead - breathe easier and enjoy the comfort of wood heat knowing you are also serving the environment by choosing a Pacic Energy ultra-burning wood stove or wood insert.

Heating your home with a Pacic Energy wood stove or insert means choosing a

GREEN home-heating solution.

Unlike the ‘dirty burners” of decades past, Pacic Energy’s unique rebox design and stainless steel encapsulated bafe system

burn over 96% cleaner than non-EPA stoves with older technology. Pacic Energy stoves burn carbon-neutral, and create virtually no

emmissions.

Wood heat is a responsible choice. Unlike fossil fuels, wood is a

renewable and sustainable fuel source which does not produce green-house

gases that contribute to global warming. Burning wood simply speeds up the natural decomposition process.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be given a credit card with an unlimited budget, without ever having to make a payment on it? Well, in the real world budget usually plays an important role when shopping for big ticket items such as furniture. And just for the record, most of us do get stuck with the bill.

Nevertheless, you can always find ways to stretch your decorating budget. You’d be amazed at how many bargains you can find on quality furnishings that will bring years of beauty and style to your home.

One of the places to start looking for good furniture bargains would be consignment stores. These stores are continuing to gain popularity and are a great place to sell some of your old furniture. You may have to check back a few times before finding the piece you’re looking for, but it may be well worth the wait.

Visit some of the large major department and furniture clearance outlets that usually have an overstock of items. Furniture in these outlet stores may be slightly damaged, but the damage is usually so minimal that it can easily be brought back to new condition.

I’ve seen regular savings of 50% or more on furniture and other items at these outlets. Many other furniture stores usually have their own clearance section for damaged or discontinued items.

Again, it may be worth your while to browse through the area for some great deals.

Garage sales can be a furniture refinisher and handyman’s dream. This is obviously an inexpensive way of finding some great deals on furniture and accessories. If you can look past the “wear and tear” on used items and focus on potential, you’d be surprised how quickly you can furnish your home with unique and personalized items.

Auctions are another great place to find one-of-a-kind furnishings. Read your local paper for up and coming auctions. Preview times are available before the auction begins so that you can inspect any items you may be interested in. When bidding on items, don’t bid more than you had anticipated. It’s easy to get caught up in the bidding wars and end up paying too much for an item.

When considering re-finishing furniture pieces, remember to take construction into consideration. It may not be worth your time, effort or cost to re-stain a piece of furniture if it is unstable and beyond repair.

Re-furnishing your home won’t happen overnight, but having fun with the decorating process will make your home a most enjoyable and memorable place to be.

E-mail your decorating questions and photos to [email protected] or visit website www.kohon.ca.

The modern kitchen is more equipped with accessories and equipment than ever before. The range of kitchen accessories on offer is wide and diverse, many do not even concern cooking anymore; as the functions of our kitchens change, the accessories we place inside them are also changing. It might reflect the modern penchant for having a gadget for every single task, but what can be definitely be asserted is that the modern kitchen is unrecognisable from that of fifty years ago.

Of course the most numerous of accessories in the kitchen are the utensils that we must use in cooking. Items such as pots and pans are important in any kitchen and quality should always be a major concern. Having quality cooking accessories will make your recipes easier and may even add that gastronomic effect you are trying to achieve. It is worth remembering with knives to keep them as sharp as possible, it may seem safer to have dull knives but in fact a sharper knife is a far safer tool to use.

Increasingly, extra storage space is a component in the modern kitchen; seemingly the cupboards of old are no longer sufficient to store all our ingredients. As a result the market is now saturated with accessories to fulfil this need. A host of kitchen racks and tidies come in all manner of shapes and sizes to accommodate your storage needs. They can even be a unique design feature, for instance a ceiling mounted rack can save a great deal of space as well as looking contemporarily chic.

Design seems to have become a part of all the accessories in the kitchen. Designers are being increasingly outrageous in their design of items such as bread bins, corkscrews and utensil racks. Once again this is probably a response to the increase in style that has invaded the kitchen. In the past the kitchen was simply a workspace, today it seems to have to have a unique stylistic element to be classed as contemporary.

Accessories can include even the appliances installed in your

kitchen. This collection of labour saving devices has been encroaching on the way we use our kitchens for the last twenty years. If you told a cook a few generations ago that they would not have to wash up and they would have a machine to do this for them, they would certainly be surprised. The microwave has also been an important innovation that has made cooking much easier; invented by accident as a scientist involved in testing microwaves melted a chocolate bar in his pocket; it is astonishing that this device has become a staple of our kitchen lives.

As the functions that are kitchen performs change, the acces-sories are adapting to suit modern attitudes. Today the kitchen is often considered the heart of the home and the place where the family regularly meets and spends a lot of their time. Accessories such as stereo systems and mounted television sets have become a popular inclusion in the kitchen to accommodate the modern desire for continuous entertainment. Many of these features have been included at the design stages to make them bespoke accessories stowed away in convenient paces throughout the kitchen.

So what can we say will happen to the kitchen in the future? Undoubtedly we will see further technological accessories invading the kitchen. The modern necessity for constant computer access will definitely feature. The possibilities of a kitchen computer that has a database of recipes and methods will most probably become popular.

In terms of appliances, the fridge for instance, will supposedly order our food automatically, measuring what quantities of food we have left and ordering them to keep supplies at a suitable level. Whatever can be predicted for the kitchen of the future, technology will doubtlessly play a large role.

Chili hot red! Burnt orange! Aubergine! Pea green! Sky blue! Its time to put some colour back in our homes. Gone are the 1990s when interior design was all about neutrals and soothing pallets. Dreary safe schemes just don’t do it for us any more. So here’s a guide to putting some “va va voom” back in your room.First lets understand colour. Colours are primary, secondary and tertiary. The three primary colours are red, yellow and blue. Mix these in equal quantities and you get secondary colours - orange, green and purple. But mix the primaries in unequal quantities and you get a whole range of colours and different hues, for instance lighter or darker purple according to the mix of red and blue. And then tints are created by adding black or white.A colour wheel is a useful tool that shows you the different colours in the vis-ible spectrum. Colours that are next to each other are “family colours” and work well together (for instance blue is next to green). Colours that are opposite each other on the wheel are contrasting and can look very striking together, for example red and green. When choosing colours for a room, whether you are going to use them in small or large quantities, you need to understand the mood and effect they will give. Neutrals include off whites and pastels and can be useful, classic background colours. Although light and bright a completely neutral scheme can be bland and needs to be accented with contrasting or bright colours to give a room depth. Naturals are often stronger colours than neutrals, taken from nature, plant and earth colours and also natural materials such as wood and stone. These colours can be soothing and calming but should be used carefully; too much brown or olive green can look drab.

Red is an incredibly diverse colour. It can be deep and dark or bright and bold. Red is meant to be invigorating and many think it stimulates your appetite, so it is often used in dining rooms. It is a great accent colour to use on one wall or for

accessories, surrounded by more cooling colours such as neutrals.Blue is cool and calming and is a popular colour for bathrooms and bedrooms. Dark and light shades can be teamed together very effectively to create a harmonious effect.Yellow reminds us of sunshine and happiness. It ranges from acid, citrus tones through to deeper autumnal shades. Yellow can work well in darker, north facing rooms. It partners well with many colours, according to the shade, it can look great with browns, greys, greens and of course black and white.

Green is a very popular decorative colour. It is warmer than blue, and is associated with nature, having a calming effect. Some greens are very strong or acidic and should be used carefully, others are passive and relaxing and can easily be used on all walls in a room.So how do you choose which of these colours will work for you? Finding the starting point can be the most difficult part when redecorating. If a room is to have a dominant piece of furniture or painting then that can be a good place to start. Decide what will complement or highlight that item and go from there. Similarly if you travel you may have rugs, pottery or other items that you can use to set the tone. Alternatively you could use the style of your home as inspiration. Many paint manufacturers now offer traditional colours from the Victorian or Georgian eras that can help restore period homes. If you need to touch and feel a scheme then furniture stores have room displays that can help you imagine what a scheme would look like in your own home. Similarly interiors magazines can be a great source of ideas, you can create a scrap book or mood board to capture ideas that appeal.Just be wary of being too radical. If you enjoyed your holiday in Morroco, creating a “souk” in your living room may be tempting but its probably worth paring down, to suit the light and style of your home. Otherwise it could end up looking incongruous.Colour allows you to stamp your individuality on your home and set it apart from the rest. So take time to work out a scheme that reflects the way you want to live and that works well in your home.

In 1946, Dr. Percy Spencer was quite intrigued when he was testing the magnetron, a new vacuum tube, when all of a sudden the candy bar in his pocket melted. This amazed him so much that he thought he would try another experiment with popcorn ker-nels. He placed the kernels in front of the magnetron and to his surprise they started popping.

It was the next day that Spencer decided to put an egg next to the magnetron. When he did so, the egg began trembling because of the pres-sure inside of the egg due to the rapidly rising temperature. When a colleague of Spencer’s decided to get a better look at the shaking egg, the egg exploded and he was showered with its contents. This brought Spencer to the conclusion that low-density microwave energy was causing these foods to cook quickly. This is when his experimentation took him to entirely new levels.

That is when Spencer took a metal box and cut out an opening that he could feed the microwave energy through. Once the energy was in the box it was unable to escape, so this created a high-density electromagnetic field. This caused the temperature of any food put inside the box to rise quite rapidly. What this did was revolutionize the way that food is cooked and was the basis for what would become the microwave oven.

The firstHowever, the microwave oven did not look quite like what we use today. In fact, it weighed approximately 750 pounds and was almost 6 feet in height. This was in late 1946 when the patent was filed by the Raytheon Company. A Boston restaurant was put in charge of testing this large microwave and it was in 1947 that the commercial version of the microwave made its debut on the market, but they cost around $5,000 a piece. Why so expensive? Well, plumbing units also had to be installed because the magnetron had to be cooled by water.

Not everyone looked upon this new invention in a favorable way. It was a complicated unit, but improvements would change the view of the public toward the microwave oven. Smaller units were made and the magnetron was able to be cooled by air, so the need for the plumber was eradicated.

Eventually, microwave ovens were used for more than cooking food. Many commercial establishments were using them to dry cork, paper, and even leather. Then in 1947, the Radarange was introduced by Raytheon. The price was now between $2,000 and $3,000 and the cabinets that housed the microwave were around the size of a refrigerator. Between 1952 and 1955, the first home united, priced at $1295, was introduced by Tappan. It was in 1965 that Raytheon acquired Amana and 1967 when they introduced the first countertop models.

ProgressionBy 1975, the microwave had made great strides and had even exceeded gas range sales. It became the staple of any kitchen. By 1976, the microwave had more owners than the dishwasher. No longer was the microwave considered a luxury, it was considered a necessity.

Now, we see that microwaves come in many shapes, sizes, colors, and it is difficult to find someone that doesn’t have a microwave oven. And as time goes on, the microwave still continues to change face. With the many different settings that ranges from power defrost to popping popcorn at the push of a single button, it is no wonder that most of our meals are cooked within the microwave. It is quick, it is easy, and it also saves a considerable amount of energy.

Having recently moved into my new flat I have found myself shopping for things I did not need to shop for and thinking about home ware supplies that I did not care for so much. Such is the case when you enter into the adult world and start taking respon-sibility over your own property! One of my most recent purchases involved buying new tableware for my dining table. Simple as this activity may seem, believe me when I say that it is a time consuming effort.

People will agree that when you are shopping for tableware, even if you are on a budget that you must buy the right designs to match with the rest of your house style. It is no use opting towards brightly coloured china, pots and pans when your house is actually a very neutral brown and cream colouring everywhere else. Certainly, this makes for a nice change to the laborious blank setting, but it should also match the design of your dining table.

Tableware these days have become an important fashion accessory for the dining table, so people can feel like they are keeping up-to-date with the latest trends when sitting down for a meal. Seems almost pointless to some, but think about how much more appealing the food will look once it has been served on a nice white plate or bowl. Most people do not care for the design of their cutlery and plates, but they are very much concerned for the quality of the china and cutlery.

Until recently, I was forced to buy plastic cutlery as I was becoming frustrated with the washing up after each dinner party. I found it much easier to buy thick clear plastic knives, forks and spoons as this made for a nice design but also were disposable, therefore I had little washing up to do. Buying plastic plates and cutlery does not to be in the form of a flimsy paper plate and cocktail sticks for cutlery.

Available in most retail outlets are plastic bowls, plates and dishes that come in various colours and styles that will almost look like fine china (almost!). These are fanciful on the table and could be used over and again. Some are even dishwasher safe so they are durable, and very often non-breakable. However, for those who want to use their fine china, may do so with the risk in knowing that after a party it could end

up chipped, stained or broken. Some-times it is simpler to just preserve your precious china and buy something that is expendable.

For those looking to impress others on formal and friendly dinner parties, may consider buying frost-tinted glasses for wine glasses, which gives you a touch of being a trendy host. Glasses need not be pristine crystal clear, buying ones with a slight hint of colouring makes them more interesting to look at and brings a certain relaxing feel to the atmosphere as well. In terms of tableware, always opt for the large and simply designed platters.

The common trend in most restaurants and with many famous chefs is to use plain white china as opposed to intricately designed plates. Ones with simple colouring or small patterns will also provide a modern touch to the dinner table; however, if you have bought a plate that shows pictures of various complicated designs then this would be better as a mantelpiece rather than tableware. Note that food is much appealing when the focus is on what you are about to eat, than what the edges of the plate looks like around the food.

In short, the simpler things in life are better, especially when it comes to plates etc. Rounded, curved edging and square shaped plates can make a difference, and will look chic on the table.

Engineered flooring is a modern flooring material that imitates traditional hardwood floor boards. This looks exactly like its traditional counterpart but has many advantages over the traditional flooring system. Engineered flooring is a composite material made up from several layers of medium or high density fibreboard or plywood with an upper layer of genuine hardwood. The core of this flooring (the fibreboard or plywood layers) are constructed by stacking the individual layers or ply’s in the opposite direction of each other this provides strength to the flooring but also eliminates expansion or contraction. It is available in a wide variety of natural timbers such as the traditional red and white oaks, maple and ash and now exotic hardwoods from all over the world are being used. With the wide variety of different timbers available home owners will be able to find an engineered flooring product to suit their indi-vidual tastes or to compliment their decorating scheme. The main benefits of engineered flooring include: * The ability to use engineered flooring in areas where traditional hardwood cannot be used such as damp areas or places where the floor would be exposed to radiant heat. When exposed to moisture or radiant heat traditional boards warp or cup; the core of the engineered flooring is constructed with the individual ply’s laid in opposite directions which ensures the flooring will not enlarge or shrink when exposed to changes in humidity. * Most are fully finished (coated), this means that you do not have to sand and coat before use. When you install engineered flooring you can literally move the furniture back in and be using the room again in a matter of hours. * It is generally easy to lay making it a perfect DIY project and saving you money on installation. * Engineered flooring can be nailed, stapled

or glued down or installed as a floating floor. A floating floor only requires that a moisture barrier, usually a foam underlay is placed on the existing floor and the engineered flooring is laid directly onto it - no sticking down is required. This allows the option that the floor can easily be removed and taken away if you move home etc, and also makes replacement of any damaged boards a relatively easy task. * It looks exactly the same and offers the same rich warmth and ambiance to a room as traditional hardwood flooring, but is generally considerably cheaper than the traditional boards. * Some are constructed with a thick upper layer or wear layer that can be sanded and refinished in the future to remove wear and renew the flooring. * It is available in many different timber species, sizes, styles and grain patterns. There is an engineered flooring solution for every

taste and decorating need. This flooring is growing in popularity for many reasons and is being used in preference to solid wood due to its durability - the fact it will not warp or cup, even when laid in a basement or other high moisture area or when exposed to radiant heat. It is easy to lay and when installed looks exactly like traditional hardwood floors.

Auto

mot

As an important part of a vehicle, headlights are mounted there to serve an essential purpose: to provide safety for the driver and its passengers, as well as other people in contact with the car. They illuminate the road upon which the vehicle would be running through. And they would illuminate the way in dire cases of harsh weather conditions like foggy afternoons, snowy winters, thunderstorms, and also during driving at the stark of night. They are mounted specifically at the front of the vehicle so as to light the road ahead. They also have reflectors and special lenses.

A headlight, or also known as a headlamp, is a lamp that is usually attached to the front of the vehicle with the purpose of lighting up the road ahead during periods of low visibility. Modern headlights are practically operated through and by the means of electricity. They are positioned in pairs, one or two lights on each side of the front of the vehicle. The headlamp system is actually required so as to produced a low and a high beam. The high beams, also known as main beams, full beams, or driving beams, are used and they cast most of their light straight ahead, thus enabling the driver to maximize his seeing distance. However, producing too much light and glare could also affect other drivers on the road. On the other hand, low beams, which are also called as dipped beams, have stricter control of upward light. They direct most of their light downward and also either rightward or leftward for right-traffic and

left-traffic countries, respectively. It gives the vehicle drivers a safe forward visibility devoid of excessive glare or back dazzle.Out in the market are different types of headlights for car owners to choose from. One of these is the reflector optics which has a light source, or filament or arc, that is placed at or near the focus of a reflector. This could be parabolic or of non-parabolic complex shape. The reflector optics has a design that starts as a parabola standing in for the size and shape of the completed package. The precise shape of each segment of this light is designed so much so that their cumulative effect is able to produce the required distribution pattern. Another type is the projector optic that has a system where in a filament is located at one focus of an elliptical and a condenser lens at the front of the lamp. Other types include HID headlamps (which stands for high-intensity discharge), LED headlights, and directional headlights. These lights, however, must also be kept in a proper aim or alignment for safety. There are already regulations for aim and these vary from country to country. This gives all vehicles a roughly equal seeing distance and all drivers roughly equal glare. The design, performance and installation of all these motor vehicle lighting devices, which includes the headlights, are carefully regulated by the Federal and Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108.About The Author: Written by Jenny McLaneJenny McLane is a 36 year old native of Iowa and has a knack for research on cars and anything and everything about it. Do you love your car just the way it is, or are you looking to fix ‘er up the way you really want it to be? If you’re the creative type who wants to do things your way, why not take advantage of the great car body kits that are available from reputable parts dealers? You can stop in at the local neighborhood store to check out and select the parts that will bring your vehicle up to speed, so to speak. Or you can virtually browse online websites to find the parts you want to make your car everything you need.A well-stocked auto supply kit knows your car better than you do. The associates can give you a quick rundown on what you can do to make your car better, faster, and more efficient in no time flat. They can give you detailed instructions and precise parts for any make, model, and year of vehicle, truck, or SUV you have in mind. For example, check out the wing spoiler and ground spoiler kits for your Mercury Cougar. Easy to install with solid, durable materials, you will love the way your car cruises after adding features like these.Make sure you have the know-how to do the job right. If you don’t, look around for someone who can do it for you at a fair rate. While a dealership or auto garage can put in the labor to add your new options, they could charge steep rates, so you may want to look elsewhere for help. Follow instructions carefully, and contact the parts dealer if you come up short a bolt or two. While you may feel that the part is secure minus the extra hardware, it isn’t worth having it come loose and scrape the body finish or even detach because you don’t feel like tracking the extra parts.

Compare prices, as they can vary widely from one dealership to another. Become familiar with some of the construction techniques and materials used to create the parts you want to add to your car.

Sometimes you can find basically the same feature under a different name for a much lower cost. Do your homework and take some time to shop area stores as well as online websites. Remember, there’s one born every day, so don’t become a statistical scam victim by purchasing parts that won’t hold up or may even be “hot.”It may be a good idea to check out the latest product reviews on the various car product websites online. You can visit chat rooms or discussions boards, and also read the detailed reviews that are often found on the Web. Posted by those in the know, you can learn more in ten minutes of reading sometimes than you can from talking with a parts dealer associate. After installing your new body parts, keep them well maintained so that they last and help your vehicle become everything you want it to be.

Trailer traveling became popular in the 1920s, when Americans learned and enjoyed the freedom and flexibility of traveling by trailer. Today, more and more people explore the joys of a mobile vacation home, looking for perfect trailers for living and utility trailers for their belongings.Today trailers for traveling come in a great number of sizes and personalities to fit every budget and wish list of activities. Keys to enjoying your vacation on wheels are deciding the style of traveling you prefer, recognizing the common trailer issues and knowing how to fix those little bugs. The frame of the trailer, no matter if it is an RV or a utility trailer, needs proper and regular maintenance. Since the trailer frame carries a lot of weight and is constantly wet and dirty while being hit by road debris, it develops a great deal of rust. To prevent it from damaging the trailer, the frame needs to be treated with a rust preventive spray and painted regularly with at least a double coat of paint and primer. When you paint under the trailer, you have a chance to spot some other problems and damaged parts such as damaged floors or parts. You will have to fix these before hitting the road.Using propane needs a lot of care, too. Many fires in trailers start with inadequate handling of propane tanks. To detect a leak of gas from its container, gas detectors are very handy. When you notice the gas smell in the trailer, escape

immediately without using the phone or light switches that can ignite the gas. Portable gas containers must be inspected on a regular basis, and kept from rusting with a coat of paint. The gas connections must be also inspected for leaks. To keep your trailer free from unwanted odors, make sure you use enough water to flush, and that a toilet seal is operational. The

unpleasant odors may also enter from the roof which is not tight, so if you suffer from odors, make sure you check the roof and the exhaust fan, too.Saving fuel today is one of the most important issues for any traveler. Don’t press too hard on the accelerator and try to drive as smoothly as you can. When you need to slow down, let the trailer coast naturally instead of using a brake to slow down. A smooth acceleration may save as much as 10 per cent of fuel down the road. To save fuel, check the plugs which can eat as much as 30 per cent of fuel efficiency, and change the oil and water frequently. New tires will also save you fuel. And finally, don’t overload your trailer and clear out the storage areas at least once a year.Last, but not least, check your trailer roof for decays and rust. A leaking roof can lead to eventual damage to the trailer. Most trailer roofs are made of fiberglass or aluminum, and they can be easily cleaned, painted and sealed with silicone, if needed. Keeping your roof clean and dry is essential for overall trailer longevity.About The Author: Written by Kathryn WhittakerKathryn Whittaker writes articles on a number of different topics. For the 32nd year, snowmobile enthusiasts from across the Prairie Provinces will gather in Yorkton on February 21, 2009 to participate in the Easter Seals Snowarama. Snowarama is a fund raising event that combines winter fun and community spirit in support of a great cause – Easter Seals Saskatchewan. This family-oriented event offers riders two groomed trails,

complimentary lunch and fuel at midway point, an awards banquet, and a chance to win a brand new Ski-doo.Participants are welcome to register now. All riders must be

at least 12 years of age and all snowmobiles must be licensed. A minimum $150 donation is required to ride.Since the event began in 1977, over $1,400,000 has been raised to support Easter Seals kids in Saskatchewan. The longevity success of Snowarama is due to the consistent and significant support from snowmobilers and volunteers. Snowarama attracts approximately 325 riders each year and a large team of dedicated volunteers. Easter Seals Saskatchewan provides the following programs for children with disabilities in Saskatch-ewan. Camp Easter Seal is a completely wheelchair accessible camp located at Manitou Lake near Watrous. It is a place where barriers are removed to create a true camping experience for kids with disabilities. Through corporate and public donations, children’s camps are fully subsidized. The cost per child for a one-week session at camp is approximately $1,300. Summer Fun is a specialized day camp providing leisure and recreational activities. It is offered in Yorkton as well as other branches of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council. Adaptive Technology Services offers assistive technology, adaptive computers, and other spe-cialized electronic tools to help children with disabilities participate more independently within their environment. A device to communicate with family and friends, electronic controls, and computer software packages are examples of the

specialized equipment available through this program.Benefitting from the funds raised at Snowarama is Yorkton Easter Seals Ambassador, Melanie Hitchens. Melanie is a delightful fourteen-year-old who exemplifies that special Easter Seals spirit- the focus on ability, not disability. Melanie was born with bilateral hearing loss and has used hearing aids since the age of four-and-a-half. She has attended Camp Easter Seal for four years now and enjoys swimming in the pool, horseback riding, and slumber parties. The 2009 Snowarama committee anticipates 350 riders and proceeds of $125,000 for Easter Seals Saskatchewan this year.Support Snowarama and Easter Seals kids – be a rider, pledge a participant, or volunteer at the event. The market has a wide range of boat accessories to choose from. Boat accessories increase the fun and comfort that you can have with your boat. Additional accessories can escalate the worth of your boat also. A few accessories are mandatory and others are fads that give you more comfort and are luxury items. When you have to make a choice of boat accessories it is always safer that you start with procuring those that are vital to the smooth functioning of your boat and ensure the safety factors

You will have to select the trimmings that you need according to the type of boat that you have, and the purpose that you are going to use it for. The function that the boat is going to utilized for is the primary deciding factor for the added equipment and accessories that you will need. For example a fishing boat will require something other than a sail boat or a speed boat would.

While contemplating on the kind of accessories you would like to buy, it is an even better idea to list out the accessories that you want to have starting with the fundamentals requirements first. You could also make a primary and a secondary list so that you have an idea of what you should buy on priority and what can wait for the next round of purchase.

Some fundamental Boat AccessoriesIt would be disastrous to be caught “on the wrong foot” so to say in the mid water without the proper equipment. This could give rise to some emergency situations and give cause for anxiety. To play it safe here are some indispensable accessories for the that you should ensure you have:1. Life jackets2. Anchors and lines3. Ladders4. Mirrors5. Paddles6. Registration and lettering kits7. Safety equipment like first aid kits8. Stabilizers9. Buoys10. Lights11. Maintenance equipment

Each one of these serves a different purpose and is needed to ensure that you have everything you require to keep you protected and help you to keep you boat in spruced up condition. Your life jackets should be worn all the time or at least kept handy for immediate access so that you do not have to face an emergency situation and not be able to find them in a hurry.Luxury and fun items for your boat :You need not only look at essential accessories for the boat. This is a time for recreation and you should be able to enjoy the experience. These items would make your boat more attractive and also give you some added comforts while you are out sailing. Some of the luxury and fun items are listed below:1. Boat fenders2. Boat heaters3. Water skies4. Wakeboards5. Wetsuits6. Radios and speakers7. Fish finders8. Swim platformsThe list is endless and these are only a few of the accessories that come under this category. In case you have not been look-ing for added equipment for a while for your boat, you may be amazed at all the new gizmos that are available. These added features not only dress up your boat, they also add to its value in case you wish to sell it sometime. Added comforts are always welcome and give their money’s worth regardless of how essential they are or not.
