Simple, modern, innovative Compliments® card is the first prepaid card exclusively addressing companies,

developed by Edenred on MasterCard’s platform, its operation is similar to that of a regular debit card.

Compliments® card is the modern alternative to gift vouchers or prizes and bonuses in cash or in kind

Can be used for payments in a network of over 3,000 merchants covering all segments of interest, from

grocery stores to gift shops, clothing, footwear, IT & C, cosmetics and beauty, travel agents etc.

Can only be used for POS Payment or purchases in virtual stores on the internet

It does not require a bank account, eliminating the costs and formalities for management of an account

Compliments® card is available in either preloaded once (can no longer be used when the amount preloaded

is spent) and the rechargeable version, whenever is required

Compliments® standard cards can be personalized with name and surname of the user, company name,

Fiscal treatment

When provided for the benefit of minor children of employees at Christmas, Easter, June 1st, or to the benefit of female employees with the occasion of March 8, to a maximum amount of 150 lei, Compliments® cards are not due to any income tax or social security contributions, health insurance contributions and unemployment insurance contributions either at employee level, nor at the employer, in accordance with Law 571/2003 regarding the Fiscal Code

Granted for marketing contests as prizes worth up to 600 lei / prize / day are exempt from income tax Under Article 77 of the Tax Code

Under the Tax Code, any expenditure incurred for sales promotion on new or existing markets qualify as marketing expenses and are 100% deductible for tax purposes. Depending on the receiver, this rewards may or may not be under the obligation to calculate and pay income tax of 16%

For rewards to individuals in any other situation than marketing contests, there are bound from calculation and withholding tax of 16%

For rewards to businesses, in any event, there is not the obligation to pay any tax
