logic skills are vital to a successul career in this eld.
Computer systems analysts provide assistance
in solving computer related problems, such as
malunctions and program problems. They must
be excellent communicators, able to understand
the needs o individuals who may or may not have
technical backgrounds.
Computer systems sotware engineers work with
hardware engineers to design and develop sotware
systems that meet consumer needs. They develop
installation and upgrade plans, test systems and
incorporate customer eedback into upgrades.
Programming and troubleshooting skills as well as
the ability to work both alone and in teams are key.
Database administrators create, implement and test
stores o inormation contained in databases. Some
o this inormation may be highly personal, such as
account numbers, health records or nancial transaction
data. Administrators must coordinate security eorts
to saeguard data while allowing or fexible storage
and retrieval o the inormation. Logic skills are a
must, as is an innate sense o business ethics.
Health inormation administrators work at hospitalsand other large care providers to organize, update
and maintain inormation about patients’ health
histories. They may supervise teams o analysts,
records specialists and inormatics developers.
Leadership and teamwork skills are a must.
Health inormation technicians maintain, troubleshoot
and develop patches or sotware applications or
hospitals, care centers and insurers. They help improve
billing and payment processes. Strong programming
skills are a must as is an understanding o insurance
industry laws and requirements.

web-based games and web pages that integrate
movie clips, sound eects, images and animations.
Knowledge o interactive programming and design
sotware is essential.
Web programmers write the code that allows websites
to unction and appear as they should. They need
