HOW TO PLAY• Place a counter for each player on the "START" side of the glasses.• Players take turns to draw a card and try to name the Roman numeral of the chord: I, IV, V or V7• If they are correct, they should roll the die and move forward along the static strands of hair. • If they are incorrect, they get lost in the tangled hair and land back at the first strand. • The winner is the first to reach the "FINISH" side of the glasses.

LEARNING OBJECTIVERoman numeral analysis is tricky, especially when the chords keep changing shape. This game will help students to get used to I, IV, V and V7 chords in C and G major in lots of different shapes.

Theory Concepts Covered: Roman numeral chord analysis

Student Level: Early intermediate/grade 2

Activity type: Board game

Number of players: 2-6 players

Seasonal: Not seasonal

HOW TO ASSEMBLE• Print out the game board (pages 3 – 4). Trim along the dotted lines and tape the board pieces together. • Print out the game cards (pages 5 – 12) double-sided. Trim along the dotted lines.• You will also need a game counter (button, eraser, small toy, etc.) for each player.
