About the Course ●  Year-long course ●  Small class size; individual attention ●  What is Geography?

○  The study of where things are and why ●  What is World Geography?

○  More than just maps, it is he study of “human geography”: humanity’s impact on the planet, and the planet’s impact on humanity

●  Geography is not just a subject, it is an approach; a way of looking at the world ○  How do mountains impact civil wars? Why are CVS and Walgreens

always across the street from each other? How did a map help contain cholera outbreaks?

●  We will also spend some time learning the location and major features of countries around the world
