The electro- acoustic piece illustrates changes in the soundscape within urban spaces and is based on outdoor recordings made in Uppsala between 1999 and 2016, mixed with tunes from electronic instru- ments. Experience music unlike anything you have ever heard before! The result is an exchange between students from Harvard and members from the Royal Academic Orchestra. The first concert whithin the collaboration is given by Paul-André Bempéchat himself at piano, performing music by Schubert and Chopin. Saturday 17 DecemberSwinging & Stringing Christmas- Academic Orchestra and UUJOFor the first time ever, the Royal Academic Orchestra and Uppsala University Jazz Orchestra give a joint Christmas Concert. The music will predominantly consist of jazz standards from The Great American Songbook: G. Gershwin, R. Rogers, I. Berlin and C. Porter, among others, arranged for symphony orchestra and big band.
