This is to certify that we, Iamsa Group Inc., Independent Surveyors did, at the request of

Oceanic Marine Management Limited, and with the consent of the Master of the ship, the

A. SURVEYOR STATEMENT

The vessel ORIENT TRANSIT, moored at Port of Punta Alvear, Cargill Terminal, Santa Fe,

Argentina the 11th November 2017 was inspected this day. At inspector´s arrival, he was

advised by Master that company gives him some specific instructions regarding to release

documented information as: Ship´s Certificates, plans, records, maintenance records.

During the inspection, a due a cargo operation condition of the ship, only Hold N° 3 was

totally visited and inspected, other cargo holds were found under cargo operation. Not all

ballast tanks were authorized to inspect because of full condition of ballast and cargo

operations. Master and his crew were willing to assist the inspector and allowed him to

work during the inspection.

B. DEFINITIONS

GOOD: Condition acceptable with only minor stop rusting

FAIR: Condition with local breakdown at edges or stiffeners and weld connections and/or

light rusting over 20% on more of areas under consideration, but less than as defined for

POOR Condition.

POOR: Condition with general breakdown of coating over 20% or more of areas or hard

scale at 10% or more of areas under consideration.

VERY POOR CONDITION: Condition of unacceptable condition of the ship.

D. DOCUMENTS, SURVEYS, CERTIFICATES

Inspection of ship´s certificates and relevant documentation was not available for inspection.

E. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The ship is a Bulk Carrier built on 2010, DOOSAN-MAN B&W 6S50MC diesel engine 8580

KW, propelled with 4 blade propeller (14.830 Kg – CU3). Three diesel generators Doosan

Man 5L23/30 650 Kw / 440 V.

Shell plating, stringer angles, web stiffeners shell longitudinal, platform plating, diagonal

bulk head, watertight transverse bulk head, bulk head stiffeners and inner bottom plating

free of cracking or deformations, corner plate, all well maintained and in good condition.

Cross deck found in good condition, plating free of indents and well coated. There was not

found any rest of oil from cranes on deck, nor on crane case plating floor.

Cargo Hold condition: Cargo hold inspection reveals that

are suitable for transporting of grain in bulk.

Vertical side shell frames and end brackets in holds are

covered by a protective vertical plating.

The general condition of five cargo hold is good, due cargo

operations was possible to visit only hold N° 3; plating was

found in good condition, corrugated bulk head found

good. Holds are protected by a vertical steel plating,

generally well coated with minor scratches due action of

payloaders or stevedores. Hatch coaming found in good

condition. Satisfactory condition of hatch coaming plating

and its stiffeners, including close-up survey is confirmed.

Top side tank plating, observed from the bottom of the

hold was found free of leakages. Small sings of rust have

been observed on the external platting. No patches have

been noted. Holds coating shows small breakdown,

maybe due action of past bad practices of cargo operation

due action of payloaders and/or stevedores. The bottom

plating was found without coating, but in general good

condition. The present cargo onboard is CORN GRAIN

CARGO and drainage arrangement at end of drain channel

looks like efficient. The general condition of holds is

acceptable and they are suitable for transporting of grain

in bulk. Piping and penetrations in cargo holds examined

and found satisfactory.

Remark:

SENASA, Agriculture Authority of Argentina at Punta

Alvear, accepted the holds with minor concerns regarding

the cleanliness condition only.

Hatch covers found operative; stable and smooth

operation observed. Hatch cover panels found fair to good

condition, however planning maintenance process is

observed · Weathertigtness satisfactory. Sealing

arrangement good. Cross joint found good, with some

minor starting rust process · Rubber gasket in general is

good, with normal indents of 1 cm to 1,5 cm due action of

compression. Support pad in good condition.

Weathertight hatch cover is satisfactory. Holds and

hatches coaming found in good condition.

Hatch covers: Checking the general condition of the

satisfactory operation of hatch covers reveals the good

condition of them. No leakages were observed during the

operation.

Cleat condition is fair to good only. The totality of cleat was

found in fair to good condition. They are in operative

condition however; the lack of appropriated maintenance

reveals that the life period is not for longer.

Cross deck areas. The inspection reveals that the

condition and maintenance of cross deck is appropriated.

Cross deck plating is well maintained. Pitting was found,

but only in less than 1% of all cases and has been covered

by coating. Blisters on cross deck observed in a very small

quantity, less than 1% of all cases.

During the inspection was not sighted evidence of

deformations due strength.

Deck cranes (4x35 SWL) Four electro-hydraulic MacGregor

cranes. The general condition of cranes is good. Visually

inspected and found in good operation standard. Crane

pedestal observed and found good; bolted connection is

good; slewing ring is good; crane boom is good; all cranes

have been inspected and have been found in good

condition. Leakages have not been observed at the time of

inspection. Surrounding areas inspected to look for

leakages and not sighted nor found. Coating in general is

well maintained. Machinery inside crane housing look

satisfactory. Some tubes surrounding the crane pedestal

(crane column) were found rusted, probably holed due lack

of sufficient maintenance.

External Hull (Post Side) The condition of external hull

plating is fair. Cosmetically poor, coating is missing in a

40% to 50%. Plating is in good condition, except in the fore

quarter.

Scratches along the hull are notorious. Lack of adequate

maintenance is evident.

Range of range of hull plating roughness is high and anti-

fouling conditions is poor. Calcareous fouling found along

the hull plating.

Port Fore Quarter (Could be a strength problems?) The

visual inspection of external hull reveals indents, running

along the frames. This could be a strength of material

problem or heavy contact with a surface. No explanation

was given by officers regarding this finding.

(See fore peak tank comments)

Auxiliary machineries on deck found operative and in

good condition. However, the inspection revealed that

Port Side Fore Winch was apparently leaking.

Tanks are in general good condition: bulkhead stiffeners,

painting beams, plate stem, stem bar, panting stringers,

well protected by renewed anodes, coating in good

condition: the structure condition of this tank is good.

Remark: it was not allowed to inspect the Fore Peak Tank;

according to Chief Officer this was “due water ballast

restriction during operations” – (Comments: Could be possible

that this denial of access it would have been due the external hull port

fore quarter finding · this is only an inspector comments)

Engine Room During the engine tour was possible to

observe that main engine and auxiliary machinery was

working in good order. However, had been observed some

leaks from cylinders at main engine. Operational condition

of equipment was noted. The general condition of engine

room and working areas is good, clean. As per second

engineer, piston N° 6 has been recently overhauling.

Traces of oil were noted (this is supported by objective

evidence · pictures).

Generators found in good condition, however, generator

N° 2 was leaking oil and the tray was found blemished with

oil.

Purifiers and purifiers room found in operative condition,

but inside the purifiers room was possible to smell fuel

vapors. This could be due to the action of vaporization of

the leaks detected in some of the purifiers.

Boiler room and boiler area: Externally inspected and

found in good condition, however dry remains of a

possible spill was observed in the tray. No explanation was

given about this.

The condition of isolation patch to cover and isolate the

man hole is unsatisfactory.

Funnel area is in good condition. Ventilation dumpers,

ventilation fun, has been tested and found operative. No

crack detected at the bottom funnel. Surrounding funnel

deck areas found free of pitting and well coated.

Lifesaving equipment. found in good condition. Life boat

well maintained. Life rafts look externally in good

condition. Fire extinguishers in good condition. Fire

detection panel visually inspected and found good. Fire

hoses found good and in appropriated quantity.

Emergency fire pump found good, no leakages observed.

Bridge is well organized and equipment well equipped.

Operation of test of equipment was made and found in

good operative condition. Antennas found in good

condition. Tested equipment reveals that a diligent care

and maintenance program is effective.

F. PICTURE COMMENTS

External Hull Condition (Port side)

During the inspection was possible to observe that Port Side external hull coating condition

is poor to fair. The loss of coating protection is conclusive and, this situation impacted on

the coating producing breakdown of coated surface. Port Side External hull sections are

scratched and corroded (starting corrosion due lack of coating). At port fore quarter was observed

an indented area running along the frames. In spite of that Starboard side was not possible to

inspect, we can suspect that the condition of coating is the same.

Seems like an strength moment had happened or as if the anchor had run across the surface

Deck Tour

Deck tour allow to observe that the general condition of plating is Good. Vessel is well

maintained and plating is free of pitting. All Cross nets inspected areas were found in good

condition.

Surrounding areas inspected to look for leakages and not sighted nor found. Coating in

general is well maintained. Machinery inside crane housing look satisfactory.

Minor observation: Some tubes surrounding the crane pedestal (crane column) were found

rusted, probably holed due lack of sufficient maintenance.

The inspection reveals that the condition and maintenance of cross deck is appropriated.

Cross deck plating is well maintained. Pitting was found, but only in less than 1% of all cases

and has been covered by coating. Blisters on cross deck observed in a very small quantity,

During the inspection was possible to observe

an engineer working on cylinder Nº 1

Asking the 2nd engineer about this task, he

answered that main engine was recently was

subjected to an overhauling.

According to him, piston Nº 6 was overhauled

recently.

During the inspection was observed oil

between cylinders. This has been

documented in the next pictures.

Remark:

During the inspection inspector was not

allowed to review documentary evidence

regarding main engine running hours,

generator running hours or any other auxiliary

machinery maintenance record.

Purifiers room

As soon as the inspector entered purifiers room, was possible to smell vapors in the air.

After this was possible to confirm that purifier LO 1 & LO 2 were leaking. The following

Lub oil purifier N° 1 was leaking.

However, the vapor presents in the atmosphere came from different residues remaining

from former leakages. Lack of adequate maintenance.

In general, the condition of purifiers is good, but maintenance process has not been

efficient enough.

Boiler room and boiler area: Externally inspected and found in good condition, however

dry remains of a possible spill was observed in the tray. No explanation was given about

this. This finding is not conclusive regarding the operational condition of the boiler,

however it is highly recommended to take this into account.

G.- CONCLUSIONS

Ship`s hull, fitting, holds, hatches, deck plating, deck auxiliary machineries, cranes, main

engine and auxiliary machineries, pumps, engine plating and structure, ballast tanks as

examined, good maintenance, with negligible waste, wear. External hull is cosmetically

poor. Some indents has been identified at fore port quarter, but was not possible to

determine the cause.

Hatches and holds are in good acceptable condition. Structure is in general good condition,

with the sole exception remarked as fair in this report.

Engine room is able to perform the intended job as created. Auxiliary machinery found

operative with negligible waste, wear.

In the opinion of attending undersigned, from general examination at this time, while the

vessel was berthed at Port of Punta Alvear, Santa Fe, Argentina, during cargo and ballast

condition, the Bulk Carrier ORIENT TRANSIT in in GOOD CONDITION of operation with the

exception duty remarked and supported by pictures.

This inspection has been made without prejudice and acting in good faith.
