Greeting

On behalf of the conference planning committee, I wish to welcome you to SPEA 2016. Our theme this year, “Moving

with Purpose” is timely, as we explore Physical Education’s role in meeting the goals set out for schools and school

divisions in Saskatchewan. It refers to the power of Physical Education holistically impacting our students in areas not

traditionally linked to Physical Education and the importance of making Physical Education joyful for all.

We are also excited that Physical and Health Education Canada is hosting their Council of Provinces in Saskatoon leading

up to our conference. As a result we will be welcoming presenters and delegates from coast to coast giving our

provincial delegates a unique opportunity to meet physical educators from across Canada.

Thank you for your dedication to professional development aimed at providing a quality physical education experience

for your students. We hope you find the conference an enjoyable, valuable experience.
