Located in the heart of Philadelphia’s University City, IHP has over 8,500 square feet of available event space that includes a wide variety of meeting rooms perfectly sized to accommodate the needs of any group. The Ibrahim Theater, home to our award-winning film program, is the perfect place to host your screening, performance, gala, or party. In addition to our 360-seat theater, our private event space is comprised of a variety of conference rooms that are ideal for meetings, seminars, lectures, workshops, classes, training sessions, receptions, and retreats. Breakout workshop space is also available for large conferences. The event space at International House has a distinctly international feel with neutral décor, and our professional staff will gladly customize a room to accommodate the specific needs of your event.

IbrahIm theater The Ibrahim Theater is a fully-equipped, multi-purpose theater facility that seats up to 360 people. Featuring a state-of-the-art concert sound-system, the theater can accommodate a variety of music presentations from small acoustic ensembles to fully amplified 10+ piece bands. The Ibrahim Theater is also ideal for film and video screenings, with the capability to project 16mm and 35mm film as well as most video formats including DCP, Blu-ray, DVD, DigiBeta, BetaSP, MiniDV, and VHS video formats. Additional devices can be incorporated into our system. Our lighting system is equipped with a digital lighting board, and there is also access from the stage, which is perfect for PowerPoint lectures and other visual presentations. The retractable stadium-style seating also allows flexibility for large social events, dinners, galas, dances, and wedding receptions. With a knowledgeable staff ready to assist you, we can provide a complete package for any event.

When designing the program for Entrepreneur Works Presents Debbie Allen , I knew that International House Philadelphia was the perfect venue. Having attended many filmmaker and community events there, I had experienced the comfort, technical capabilities, and culture of IHP.

Working with the staff on our event was an absolute breeze. They anticipated our needs, communicated often, clearly, and effectively, and provided excellent customer service! IHP is, and will continue to be, the preferred live event venue for Teaspoon & Pound Media.

north amerICa The North America Room features a wall of windows letting in ample natural light and two mounted dry-erase boards, making it ideal for small board meetings, retreats, and conference breakout space. The room can accommodate up to 36 people.

auStralIa A uniquely designed atrium space, the Australia Lounge is an attractive setting for receptions, seated meals, and as a breakout space for conferences. The lounge can accommodate up to 75 for receptions and 50 for a seated event.

South amerICa At almost 2,000 square feet and with a capacity of up to 160, the South America Room is our most versatile space that can be configured for any type of event. With neutral decor, natural light, and an outdoor balcony overlooking Chestnut Street, it is ideal for large seminars, workshops, and seated dinners.

afrICa The Africa Room, which accommodates up to 40 people, is ideal for classes, training sessions, meetings, and conference breakout space. The room features a mounted dry-erase board and can be combined with the Asia Room to form a larger meeting space, accommodating up to 100 people.

aSIa The Asia Room, which accommodates up to 50 people, is ideal for classes, training sessions, meetings, and conference breakout space. The room features a mounted dry-erase board and can be combined with the Africa Room to form a larger meeting space, accommodating up to 100 people.

euroPe The Europe Room, which can accommodate up to 50 people, is ideal for classes, training sessions, meetings, and conference breakout space. The room includes a mounted dry-erase board and is similar in size to the Asia and Africa Rooms, two rooms that can be combined to form a larger meeting space.
