Conference Theme: "The Gathered and Scattered Church: Strategies for Reaching Your Community"
Textbook: The Gathered And Scattered Church: Equipping Believers for the 21st Century by Edward H. Hammett - ISBN 1-57312-460-5 More than ever, churches must engage in proactive strategies to reach beyond their physical walls and impact the lives of those who live in the community. But how can the people of God connect to community persons who surround the church, yet remain detached from the Gospel
and salvation through Christ? How do pastors and church leaders begin the process of reaching the unreached, and leading the church members out of their comfort zones and into 21st Century ministry? These are the questions that participants can explore during the 2nd Annual Eastern Region Christian Education Conference!
– Rev. Luther S. Allen III, Asst. Director, VBSC-SDCE
