The M/R III coating system is used to apply coatings to the molds. Molds are cleaned with a high pressure D.I. cleaning solution before the coating is applied. A hard coat is applied and cured on the mold. Coated molds are then ready for assembly.

Proprietary Q-2100 lens materials are available in both clear and photochromic formulations. Heated monomer is dispensed into the fill port of the gasket. Clear and photochromic jobs are distinguished by the use of color-coded job trays.
