Configuring IP Cortex for Spitfire SIP Trunks

This document is a guideline for configuring Spitfire SIP trunks onto IP Cortex and includes the settings required for Inbound DDI routing and Outbound CLI presentation. The settings contained within have been tested and are known to work at the time of testing. SIP trunk details such as account number and password will be provided separately. Provisioning a SIP Trunk

1. Select the routing tab at the top 2. Click “New SIP”

3. Enter the details as below. 4. The Hostname may be 83.218.143.16 or spitfiretsp.net 5. Your username will be supplied by Spitfire and is appended with @83.218.143.16 or @spitfiretsp.net 6. Your Shared secret will be supplied by Spitfire 7. The Outbound call limit will be supplied by Spitfire 8. Click “Create”

9. After clicking “Create” you will be returned to “Manage VoIP Trunks”. If the Status (shown below) is not a green tick for Up, registration OK, wait 30 seconds and refresh. If still not registered OK reboot the system and recheck the status. If this still fails further diagnostics will be required.

10. Click the “123” icon to modify the Caller ID settings

11. Modify the Caller ID settings for the trunk as below. 12. Click “Update”

Outbound Routing – Reference only

1. After clicking “Update” (previous screenshot) you will be returned to “Manage VoIP Trunks”. 2. Select “Number Routing” on the left of the screen.

3. Add a new route or modify an existing route.

4. Modify your route accordingly and select the new Spitfire SIP trunk as a provider

5. After the number routing has been updated you will be returned to the “Manage Call routing” screen, where you have a summary of your routing plan

Inbound Routing

1. Select the “pabx” tab 2. Click on “Inbound Nos.”

3. Select “Create a new incoming number”

4. Enter the inbound in 2 parts as below (area code & number) 5. Select a user from the drop down box. 6. Click “Create”

7. The number is now visible in the Inbound Numbers summary.

Outgoing CLI

1. Select “pabx”, “Extension Numbers” 2. Edit the extension number in question.

3. Modify the “Override-caller-id” field with a valid CLI, in the correct format i.e. 2031410020. A valid CLI is a number associated with the Spitfire SIP trunk WITHOUT the leading 0

4. Click Apply Changes
