Ladies and Gentlemen of the Class of ’19 – “Wear Sunscreen. If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it... Don't worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an

algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday. Do one thing every day that scares you. Sing. Don't be reckless with other people's hearts, don't put up with people who are reckless with yours. Floss. Don't waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind... the race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself. Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults…” (Quote from “Everybody’s Free to Wear Sunscreen” by Baz Luhrmann)

“Knights” Utility Box Wrap – Have you driven past the Montgomery and Burwell intersection recently? Make it a point to go see the newly-installed utility box wrap designed by BHS 2018 graduate Bella Manley! Bella’s design entry, along with that of fellow BHS student Sarah Staples’, was chosen in April 2018 as part of the City of Bremerton’s Public Works Department and the City Arts Commission’s call to Artists in help updating and replacing utility boxes with local art. Sarah Staples design will be installed later this year.

France Fundraiser - Support the French Club students traveling to France! Sixteen members of the French Club will be traveling to France during Spring Break 2020 and would appreciate your support! They are currently selling Papa Murphy's "peel-a-deal" cards for only $5 (8 coupons save you $35 or more!) and Williams Flower and Gift (aka Flowers to Go) cards for $25. The flower cards entitle you to a bouquet each month from June 2019-May 2020, plus four high value coupons ($250 retail value)! Even if you only get the bouquets, that's equals out to about $2/bouquet for a full year! Support our students’ global travel and treat yourself or a loved one to some lovely flowers and yummy pizza! Contact Madame Erickson ([email protected]) for more information.

Student Fines – Does your student have any fines? Please check with the cafeteria staff for any negative lunch balances (#360-473-0816) AND at the Activities Window (#360-473-0905). You can also check lunch balances on your Skyward Family Access.

Fall Athletic Eligibility – Student athletes planning on participating in fall sports for the 2019-2020 school year need to remember that next fall's eligibility is determined by grades at the

end of this year. In order to be eligible to participate in a fall sport next year, students must be passing at least 5 out of 6 classes at the end of this school year. If you have any

questions, please contact Casey Lindberg or Donna Maib.
