ASHRAE AWARD

ASME AWARD

Dr. Ayub received the Louise and Bill Holladay Distinguished Fellow Award on June 24, 2017 at the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Conference in Long Beach, California. This annual award is given to an ASHRAE Fellow for continuous preeminence in engineering or research work. The honor was initiated in 1979 by Presidential Member Bill Holladay. Dr. Ayub’s work involved inin enhanced heat transfer technologies, specifically for natural refrigerants such as Ammonia & Carbon Dioxide. He has more than 30 years of experience in the said field.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has awarded its Heat Transfer Memorial Award to Dr. Ayub on November 7, 2017 at the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) Conference in Tampa, Florida. The Heat Transfer Memorial Award is bestowed on individuals who have made outstanding contributions toto the field of heat transfer through teaching, research, practice and design, or a combination of such activities. Each award is based on achievement through publications, patents or invention, in an area of heat transfer or through the application of science or art of heat transfer. The award was established by the ASME Heat Transfer Division in 1959 and operated asas a Division Award until 1974 when it was elevated to a Society Award.
