Connect Students to Scholarships with the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT 10

More Opportunities for More Students By taking the Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) as a junior, students may meet requirements to enter the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships.

Additionally, the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT™ 10 connect students to another $300 million in college scholarships for students across all major demographics. The awards—ranging from $2,000 to full-tuition scholarships—are made possible through our partnerships with these 26 leading scholarship providers:

How It Works When students take the PSAT/NMSQT or the PSAT 10 and say “Yes” to Student Search Service®, College Board connects them with our partner organizations, which could mean money for college.

Additional Scholarship Opportunities The BigFuture Scholarships program provides a simple path to college with the chance to earn $40,000 and $500 scholarships for each step taken. At least half of the scholarships – more than $1.5 million – will be awarded to students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year. Learn more at bigfuturescholarships.org.

Complete the Suite The SAT Suite of Assessments is an integrated system of tests that measure what students are learning in class and what they need to do well in college.
