Connect your Blue Hound to your computer using the supplied cable and power supply. Note that on the USB to Hirose Cable w/break out leads for SPST contacts (P/N HR-CBL), the two wires may remain unattached if you do not need them for your application.

Install the Blue Hound software from the USB flash drive on your computer.

After installing the Blue Hound software you can then run the application "BlueHoundControllerSerial.exe" located within the Blue Hound folder.

In the upper left hand corner click on "Open" and a dialog box will appear:

Click on the Com Port selection, in this case COM47, and then click on "Ok".

The firmware version and software version fields will automatically populate. You will then start to see the fields that detect any Bluetooth devices in the area populate. Since the refresh rate for Bluetooth scanning is once every fifteen seconds it may take a few moments until all of the Bluetooth devices appear.
