Alert: Close Torque Alarm– 20” BAW Modulating with R7Q6‐3 Actuator. User TQ set at 85%. Factory is at 90% No current alarms in Event Log, so alarms may have been during setup.
Recommendation: We recommend monitoring Alarm Log; Verifying Mechanical stops properly set; Monitor seating torque during closing if possible (can be at the Local Display Module or if scheduled properly by data acquisition). Clear Alarm Log to discern if new alarm occurrence.
Potential Impact: May indicate issue with valve seat or limit setting or mechanical linkage to the valve. Particularly if additional alarms are logged or occur frequently. Dependent upon valve service or location in process, this could be an indicator of debris buildup in valve seating area.
