Dear Lakeland Family,Can you imagine being a part of a church where every person was alive to God, each one was genuinely connected to other Christians, and where every spiritual gift was in play? Can you imagine a church in which everyone was involved someplace? I can!

What you hold in your hands is a tool for just such a church. In these pages are places to connect with people and with Christ as well as ways you can make a huge difference in the lives of other people. Is Christ calling you to become involved in new ways? Ask Him to show you and then take a close look at what’s happening at Lakeland.

Walking “grace”-fully with you!

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

Sunday morning at Lakeland is an important time of gathered worship, instruction, and fellowship. Our services include a time of music followed by a message, usually brought to us by our Senior Pastor, Dan Weyerhaeuser. Once a month, we celebrate communion together, and on special occasions our services include baptisms, parent/child dedications, and the recognition of new members.

Sunday Service Times9:00 and 10:45

For the KidsLakeland offers classes for children of every age group through our His Kids program, telling the next generation who God is and what He has done so that, by faith, they can know Him and love Him as a forever friend. Join us for age-appropriate, kid-attractive teaching of God’s Word, prayer, and worship in a safe and welcoming place! If you have questions about our children’s ministry, feel free to contact the director, Judy Crocket, at [email protected]

Easter is a time to celebrate the saving Grace of our God and to glory in his victory over sin and death. Consider joining us for any of our special services this year.

Maundy ThursdayThursday, March 24, 7:00pmJesus’ last Passover meal with his disciples foreshadowed the coming wedding supper of the Lamb. As we observe Communion, we look forward to our eternal celebration with Christ and the rest of his Church.

Good FridayFriday, March 25, 6:30pm, 8:00pmFor all eternity, Jesus’ victorious death on the cross will stand as a testimony to God’s redeeming grace. Remember the glory of the Lion who was also the Lamb slain.

Easter ServicesSunday, March 27, 9:00am, 10:45amMonday, March 28, 7:00pmThrough the resurrection of Christ, our lives can be completely and radically changed!

Palm SundaySunday, March 20, 9:00am, 10:45amPalm Sunday points to the future return of the one true King, Jesus!

VOLUNTEER

THESE LITTLE ONES (IN THE NURSERY) REALLY BLESS MY HEART. I CONSIDER IT A PRIVILEGE TO TEACH THESE BABIES AT THE BEGINNING OF THEIR SPIRITUAL LIVES WITH THEIR PRECIOUS LORD.

Lori Bergin said this during her many years as a nursery caregiver. Last year, Lori went to be with the Lord she loved so dearly, yet her service continues to bear fruit in the lives she touched. What can we learn from Lori?

Lori understood that serving was about building God’s kingdom. Welcoming guests as they come into God’s house has kingdom value. Mentoring teens that are transitioning to an adult faith has kingdom value. Cleaning and repairing the building so people can worship undistracted has kingdom value. Look at the opportunities on this page and view them not as tasks to be done but a chance to build God’s kingdom

Lori imitated Jesus who is our ultimate example to follow.

“ For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45.
