well as their Indian neighbors. They
began to pray for those who lived
around them. They planned block
parties to get better acquainted and
invited their neighbors to their home for
a meal. Walls between them began to
crumble and they eventually invited
them over for a Bible study. They
found a man who spoke their native
language and asked him to lead the
Bible study. Out of this study some of
their neighbors became born-again
believers.
Obstacles or Opportunities
Think about it. God brought these
people to live in their neighborhood.
Initially, they saw them as obstacles to
their American way of life, but over
time God began to help these followers
of Christ see the opportunity he had
placed in their backyard.
The Big Picture
The impact this one couple made will
have eternal results. These new
converts have friends that live nearby
who speak their heart language. They
and language groups have left their
homelands and are currently living in
our neighborhoods. Each day over 500
people come to the DFW metroplex,
and 70% of them are from an
unreached people group.
Since they are coming to our area,
what are you and I to do?
One couple who lives in Frisco was
faced with this dilemma in their
neighborhood. The houses around
them were being bought
by people from India, so
they decided to move.
They put their house up
for sale, but it remained
on the market for 3
years. At the time it was
a sellers’ market, yet they could not
sell their home. During this three year
period, God began to stir their hearts
helping them to see that the people
around them were individuals He
loved. They were reminded that Jesus
Christ died on the cross for them as
(Continued from page 1) have families that still reside in their
unreached country. These new
followers of Christ can have a global
impact upon friends and family here
and in their native country. Through
Biblical follow-up they will become
missionaries to their own culture.
Most of us will never have the
opportunity to leave our own country
and live among an unreached people
group; however, these unreached
people groups are coming to live in our
neighborhoods. What will we do? Will
we see them as intruders and
foreigners, and reject them? Or will we
welcome them, get to know them, and
share Christ’s love with them? The
choice is ours – let’s choose love.

France Partnership
Denton Baptist
Association recently
entered a 3-year
partnership with
Steve Marshall and the Action Biblique
Church in Lyon, France. God is moving
in a miraculous way in Lyon with 3 new
churches being planted. We are hoping
several churches within DBA will
engage and adopt the work there.
A Vision Trip is being planned this
summer for pastors and leaders to visit
and see firsthand what God is doing.
Travel dates are June 23-29 with a
cost of approximately $2500. This trip
will include a spiritual tour of Lyon, as
well as the cities where the new
churches are needed. The team will
also attend a one-day Bible camp.

In September 2015, churches
throughout Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton
and Collin counties will launch a
coordinated
multi-week
outreach
initiative. The
initiative will be supported by mass
advertising and a dedicated sermon
and discussion group series.
The Explore God Initiative will equip
and empower Christians to have more
spiritual conversations, while openly
inviting community members—
regardless of faith background—to
explore the questions we all have
about God.
Faith Goals:
1. Drive unity amongst local churches
2. More people will give thought to
spiritual questions
3. More people will seek answers to
spiritual questions through local
churches
4. More Christ followers will
confidently start spiritual
conversations
5. More Christ followers will increase
their commitment to serve and
represent Christ
6. Churches will find Exploregod.com
an effective tool for new spiritual
conversations about Jesus
7. More people will put their trust in
Christ.
While these goals are ambitious, we
firmly believe He can do
“immeasurably more than all we ask or
imagine.” (Eph. 3:20)
We encourage all DBA churches to
participate and sign up at
exploregod.com.
