This is a portion of a deposition of David Connolly, under oath. Note that he acknowledges he registered his investments as securities, and then stopped doing so as an "oversight". Therefore he was aware of regulations that apply to securities, and that his investments were securities, in apparent contrast to what his lawyer is currently arguing in court filings - that he was totally unaware of securities and the rules that apply to them.
