H I S T O R Y SAVIA is a proyect leaded by the joint creative work of Fabiana Persia; artist and her sister Patricia Persia; arquitect. It´s been almost seven years since this project came to life.

Fabiana survives the 2010 tsunami that struck the Juan Fernández islands in Chile where she lived with her husband and their two kids for twelve years. Fortunately they managed to swim and scape alive, nevertheless they lost their home, hotel and their scubadiving center. After this strong episode she comes back to Santiago and begins a new life. As a way to reinvent herself, heal and to sow new roots she starts a new path in search of her essence, connecting herself again with nature, her identity and her artistic inner world. And it is there, next to Patricia when they decide to join knowledge and energies to form “SAVIA” a project of clothing, garments and textile art that develops on either side of the Andes mountain range.

Fabiana, is settled in Chile and Patricia, who lives in Mendoza, have managed to unite both cultures, rescuing their identities through the research of textile traditions, applying these techniques in the creation of their contemporary products.

SAVIA Offers a "no season" fashion under the SLOW philosophy, inviting to evaluate the design and the quality of its materials, with garments that calmly incorporate international trends, allowing those whouse them to feel part of fashion with Content and identity.

SAVIA's production processes are inspired by the SLOWphilosophy, preferring noble materials and natural dyes, labor and local raw materials (short circuit), crafts and low-scale production.

SAVIA's garments are born from the benefits of sheep wool and llama, alpaca and baby alpaca fibers. We use materials that have been selected for their quality, fineness, smoothness and high thermal capacity, combining the chromatic variety of these fibers or giving them color through natural dyes.

In SAVIA we also use cotton, linen and viscose, which have been dyed with non-toxic and biodegradable dyes. In this way, the dyeing processes are eco-friendly.

Each garment has a particular added value, and together they form urban and versatile collections of organic and ethnic silhouettes where the natural, the modern and the ancestral join together.

SAVIA seeks to reach people who value author´s design,handmade garments, local identity, the original and the sustainable.
