Introduction

The ‘Securing the future of threatened tree giants in Borneo’ project (2018-2020) was funded by the National Geographic Society. The objectives of this project are:

• Securing target Dipterocarp species by improving in situ information and developing living collections as sources for species recovery

• Building technical and horticultural skills of local conservationists to ensure continued tree conservation

This module is adapted from the content of the project workshop held in Pangkalan Bun in September 2019.

The module aims to provide basic guidance on conservation techniques for Dipterocarpaceae.

For more information on this project visit the Global Trees Campaign website.
