1. Why do you want to be on the Youth Commission?

Iwant to be on the Youth Commission because I love our Monte Sereno communityand would love to help do my part in making it even better than it already is through theYouth Commission. I have a passion for leaving things better than I found them andwant to help make my mark on Monte Sereno because it is a place I hold so near anddear to my heart.

2. Tell us about your skills, experience or interests that you feel would assist us in considering yourapplication.

I currently run a nonprofit where I teach paid coding classes for girls aged 10-18 anddonate the funds collected to homeless shelters and charities in San Fransisco. Thishas taught me a lot of responsibility, and has given me the ability to think on my feet, both characteristics that are highly applicable to the Youth Commission. Moreover, Ihave also been a part of the Youth Commission for 4 years now, and feel that my priorexperience willgreatly assist the Youth Commission in the future.

3. Please list your current commitments. My current commitments include a weekly dance class, my non-profit that I run calledSheroes Tech where I teach girls computer programming, and being the VP of outreachfor the non-profit, Donum Visi. In addition, I also work as a private tutor outside ofschool where I prepare kids for their APCS class in high school and am also a part ofmy school's jazz band.

5. What do you see are important issues for the youth of Monte Sereno? The biggest issue I see the youth of Monte Sereno as having is that we do not connectenough. Despite living in a world full of technology, the youth of Monte Sereno does notconnect much and therefore is not able to make as big of an impact on the city. I feellike as a young community we could connect more, not only through the YouthCommission but also through social media as well which would help us make a biggerpositive impact on our community.

6. What, if any, career interests do you have currently?Currently, I am interested in pursuing a career in tech, psychology, or law.

From the past three years I sewed, I gained many experiences and learned how to communicate to my fellow peers when talkingabout an upcoming charityevent and how we are going to successfullyplan it. Because of all the insightsand experiences I learned, I am willing and want

to learn more about communication skills and being a helpfulhand to the community as these skills are helpful factors to my future and my goals to pursueLaw and Medicine.Because of covid this year, i.heyouthcommission was not able to do many activities that I loved to do such u Christmas parade, thebarbecue, and ice cream social.Wit.hmy experience and leadership,I want to create more activities and do more charitableevents to make up for theexperience lost last year.

1. Why do you want to be on the Youth Commission?

I want to be on the youth commision for several reasons. First, lieel that I can make atrue impact and change some of the ways things work in our city. With one year ofexperience, I already know some of the things we do as part of the youth commision, and i feel proud just to be a part of doing such great deeds for our city.

2. Tell us about your skills, experience or interests that you feel would assist us in considering yourapplication.

Some skills I have are leadership, dedication, and communication. Ifeel that I can trulyhelp by being able to lead in some of the project we work on, and possibly take on aleadership role which could truly help. After taking a backseat in my first year as part ofthe youth commision, l now know how things operate and feel i can be a truecontributor in my next four years.

3. Please listyour current commitments.Sports — 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM every weekday

4. How many weekday hours per month would you be able to commit to the Youth Commission?Q1-3hours()4-6 hours7-9 hours10+ hoursQother

5. What do you see are important issues for the youth of Monte Sereno? One day my parents were scrolling through Next Door, and they came across a ladywho was asking for blankets for dogs at a shelter. Itturns out that during these times, what shelters really need most are blankets and sheets for dogs. This came as a shockto me, as l truly did not know they had such a need. I think we should host a blanketdrive for these shelters, and I also likedthe idea of funding a scholarship program forthose in need.

6. What, if any, career interests do you have currently? As of now, Ido not have any major career interests. However, there are a few subjectswhich I find fascinating and would enjoy pursuing a career in. Those subjects arebusiness, biology, and law.
