Welcome. I am Attorney General Pennington.

The federal government is looking for law

firms to provide legal advice on

Constitutional issues. The Attorney

General’s office has set up a competition to

find the best young legal minds in the

Nation and is offering a $1 Million contract.

I project a DILEMMA. Your lawyers will

read the Constitution to find the answer to

offer legal advice. You will four minutes.

There are 12 Dilemmas and 1 Quagmire!

Each team must have a writer and a runner.

Runner WALKS the answer to me in the

envelope (briefcase).

Hefferan has been stealing money from

the treasury. He now owns

Madagascar. That’s right! He

purchased Madagascar with stolen

money. Under the Constitution, what

actions should be taken against him?

Your client is having trouble with his

mail service. Who is the best person

to call—his Congressman, the

President, or the Chief Justice of the

Supreme Court?
