You don’t always need to complete a lower level certificate in order to gain entry to a higher one.

A learning pathway is a group of qualifications that build on specific skills, knowledge and experience to help you forge a successful career in industry.

Depending on your previous work experience and the entry requirements of each qualification, you can jump in and study at the right level for you at any time.

Our pathways also extend onto university.

If you have studied a relevant diploma, you may be eligible to receive between 6 and 18 months of credit towards a university degree through our university partnerships.

Approved by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), you will study theory, jumping in a pool from three metres, righting a life raft, working as a team to control and fight fires, donning immersion suits and learning how to preserve life at sea.
