Method Statements

All of the Risk Assessments have been prepared and structured so that they may be used as method statements for lower risk and routine activities.

For more complex tasks, we have developed and included a standard Method Statement Template on which specific method statements can be quickly and simply prepared.

This template has been produced in such as a way to allow most laypersons to be able to prepare detailed method statements which can be easily understood and communicated to those undertaking the work, it can also link and refer to the various generic risk assessments to save on time and repetition.

HSE Construction Blitz

As most in the construction industry are aware, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have recently undertaken a number of high profile audits and inspections of construction sites

The June 2003 blitz stopped work on 332 sites due to unsafe working practices (improvement notices were also served on another 75!)

Working at height and manual handling are key areas being targeted by the HSE
