the technology Centre is based on 5.5 hectare (8 football pitches) with a 3,500m2 heated indoor workshop. We have over 50 years experience of designing and constructing full-scale mock-ups.

The Technology Centre team built nine replica BCU’s to investigate the friction on wire windings. Specialist testing including seismic for which a purpose built rig was constructed.
At peak well over 100 team members were engaged on this project.

Criminal behaviour was putting lives at risk. A local authority commissioned trials of different door types at the Technology Centre. The solution helped ensure tenant safety.
