Smith School of Business at Queen’s

University is one of the world’s premier business schools, with a faculty renowned for their business experience and academic credentials. It has earned

international recognition for its innovative approaches to business education, particularly in

the areas of team-based and experiential learning.

Master of International Business Program provides business graduates with complementary in-depth

knowledge about the global economy, global leadership, and global strategy. The program also focuses on teaching skills such as

teamwork and cultural intelligence. The program has one of its biggest strenghts in the diversity of the participants’ backgrounds: this year’s class

has just under 100 students from 24 different nationalities.

The program contemplates an International Business Project,where students work as consultants for a real organization, researching and analyzing

a given business challenge as part of a cross-cultural and geographically dispersed team.

Project Scope

We are looking for a client who is exploring an opportunity or facing a business challenge with an international scope.

Our team will conduct extensive research into your business problem or opportunity, analyze the situation and prepare a report detailing our findings and suggested course of action. We will also be available for a presentation and discussion of our findings.

Our consulting services will be provided pro-bono. Your organization will be expected to collaborate with us by allocating the necessary resources (staff time, information, etc.) for the development of the project. A non-disclosure agreement will be signed to secure your confidentiality interests.

Meet the Team

Shreya holds 2 years of work experience in Audit and Taxation with BDO Consulting Pvt. Ltd. as an Article trainee. Having worked in the field of Indirect Taxation, she has sectoral experience in transaction advisory services such as financial services, hospitality and insurance. She will be completing the Indian Chartered Accountancy in May 2016. During her free time, she enjoys dancing, watching movies, and trying out new restaurants.

Fiorella has extensive experience in Canadian retail industry, providing professional customer service, meeting and exceeding targets, and increasing sales. Having worked for a multinational company as an Assistant Manager in the Human Resources department, Fiorella has a wide operational experience in managing the most valuable resources - employees. She is dedicated, accountable and determined.

Daniela was born in Montreal and raised in Portugal, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree. She is working towards a double degree, with a Master in Management from the University of Mannheim. Daniela has interned in the consulting field and worked for a student-run consulting firm during her studies. Her international experience includes studying abroad in Austria and Germany. She is interested in Consumer Behavior and Social Innovation, and volunteers at SPEAK, a non-profit organization promoting linguistic and cultural exchange.

After his engineering degree, Max continued studies in economics and commerce. Alongside his studies, he was involved in organizing large scale events through the University and in the community. He has started two ventures in Kingston involving

programming, WDS networking hardware, and has strong relations with businesses in Kingston and surrounding cities. He has also

worked with several companies in the entertainment industry focusing on marketing, planning, and managing local teams and resources. He has an impressive network within businesses and communities throughout Ontario.

Vincent’s studies covered a wide range of topics in the fields of business and economics specializing in marketing and micro-economics. Throughout his studies, Vincent had the opportunity to work on cases related to firms which wanted to expand their business internationally

and enjoys drafting solutions to their challenges. In the second semester of his Master ’s program, Vincent wishes to focus on strategic marketing.

Jojo is known for her academic excellence in her Bachelor’s degree. She also has broad experience in operation management, which builds upon her communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, she desires to tackle problems

with an international vision. Jojo is dedicated and goal-driven, with significant ability to recognize challenges and find solutions.

Chinmay specialized in Cost and Works Accounting in his Bachelor’s degree. Being a qualified Company Secretary, he has worked with the Tata group for over 15 months in the field of Corporate Law and Compliance Management and with the Ministry of Corporate

Affairs, India for 2 months. He is passionate about Investment Finance, cars and music. He is also a state level table tennis player.
