Background of the Study

Summer has ended, yet heat continued unabated. Abnormal heating across the world

occurs (Ahrens, 485-491). Ice in the North and South melts gradually (Michaels, 2011). These

shows the symptoms of global warming. The environment gets badly affected likewise the

people. This phenomenon can cause lots of trouble to humans (Parsons 2003, Kovats & Hajat

2008). As the situation gets worse, people will be affected that much.

High temperature for human can cause problems (CDC, 2014). People can get skin

cancer, sun burn and unfortunately heat stroke. Heat stroke is the most serious heat-related

disorder (CDC, 2014) and considered as a life-threatening emergency (APEC, 2014). Heat stroke

symptoms include slurred speech, hallucinations, and dizziness (CDC, 2014). It doesnt affect

only people, but also animals (PETMD, 2014).

Drinking water can help prevent heat stroke (APEC, 2014). Cool water should them be

applied to the skin and then fanned- this stimulates sweating. Ice packs should be applied to the

armpits areas and groin. The person should also lie down with their feet elevated in perhaps an

air-conditioned room. Sometimes, if conditions are serious, the person should be taken to the

hospital for an IV to compensate for fluid and electrolyte loss (APEC, 2014).

Significance of the Study

This product, if successful can help in many ways. This product could help people in

many ways. This could add up to the reputation of tungkod.This can be very helpful for elders

to lessen the chance of getting heat stroke and other sun-caused diseases.

This product can also help raise the economy of our country. Increase demands for this

can lead to increase production as well as increase in growth and popularity.
