CORE BANKING SYSTEMS CONVERSION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. What are core banking systems? A. Core banking systems are the main software programs we use to service deposit and loan functions, such as opening accounts, calculating interest, posting transactions, and preparing statements and notices. Q. Why is Pacific Western Bank changing its core banking systems? A. We are committed to running efficient operations and providing quality products and exceptional service. In an effort to improve and expand the products and services that we offer, we are upgrading our core banking systems and other associated products including online banking and bill payment. This conversion requires a significant investment of both time and resources, but it will enable us to enhance our capabilities and offerings and ultimately the service we provide to you. Q. When is Pacific Western Bank converting to its new core banking systems? A. We are converting our core banking systems beginning the evening of Friday, May 13, 2016. The conversion will be completed by the morning of Monday, May 16, 2016. Q. What are the benefits of this new core banking system to me as a customer? A. There are many benefits to you as our customer. These include: I mprovements to online banking with a closer integration with our core banking systems. eS ignature capabilities allowing customers to sign new accounts documentation through a secure electronic signature pad at our branches. Enha nced products and services in the future. Q. Will my deposit account number change? A. If your current deposit account number is greater than ten (10) digits, your account number will change. If your current deposit account number is ten (10) digits or less, your account number will not change. Separate correspondence with detailed information will be mailed by May 13, 2016 to customers whose deposit account number will change. Q. Will I need to order new deposit slips and checks? A. If your checking or savings account number is greater than ten (10) digits, Pacific Western Bank will order new deposit slips and checks, in the same style as your last order, on your behalf at no charge to you. Otherwise, you may continue to use your deposit slips and checks as you do today. Q. What about my loan account number? Will that number change? A. There will be two (2) changes to loan account numbers. First, loan account numbers greater than eleven (11) digits will change in their entirety. Separate correspondence will be mailed by May 13, 2016 to those customers whose loan account numbers are greater than eleven (11) digits noting their new number. Second, all loan numbers will contain a note number. Statements and notices mailed after May 16, 2016, will include an additional note number as an extension to your current account number. Q. Are there any changes to my debit card? A. Yes. All existing MasterCard debit cards will be changed to EMV chip-enabled debit cards, to conform to the latest industry card security standards. You may have already received your new card. Upon receipt of your new card, verify the new card number to the number on your existing card. Q. When is Pacific Western Bank converting to its new core banking systems? A. We are converting our core banking systems beginning the evening of Friday, May 13, 2016. The

After May 11th, you may also customize your PIN at any Pacific Western Bank ATM machine. In the interim, please continue to use your existing card.

Q. What about ATM cards? Will there be any changes to ATM cards? A. No. There will be no changes to ATM cards. Please continue to use your existing ATM card as you do

today. Q. Can I still withdraw money from an ATM or make purchases at retail Point of Sale (POS)

establishments such as department or grocery stores, restaurants, etc. during the change to the new core banking systems?

A. Yes, debit and ATM cards will be available for use; however, your limits may be affected at both ATM and POS retailers. Once the change to the new core system is complete, your limits will be restored to normal. The ATM network may be unavailable for balance inquiries during the period between Friday, May 13, 2016 and the morning of Monday, May 16, 2016. We recommend that you have some extra cash on hand and verify that you have some paper checks for your checking account during that period of time.

Q. Will Pacific Western Bank business hours change during the conversion to the new system? A. No. We will maintain normal business hours at each of our branch offices. For a complete listing of our

branch locations, please visit our website at www.pacificwesternbank.com. Q. Will my information remain secure during this transition to the new core processing system? A. Absolutely. The safety and security of our customers’ personal information is of utmost importance to us,

and these system changes will not compromise those standards in any way. Q. Will my statement cycle change? A. You will receive interim statements for your checking and savings accounts dated May 13, 2016. If your

statement cycle date is on the 25th through end of month, you will receive a second statement in May with your remaining account information.

If your statement cycle date falls on one of the following days below, your next statement date is listed.

This will allow you to receive one full month of account information beginning May 13, 2016 through the next statement date. Note that paper and electronic statements received after May 13, 2016 will look different, but will include all of the account data you are currently receiving.

Q. Will I continue to get my overdraft protection line statement with my checking account statement? A. If you have an overdraft protection account known as “Checkline” you will receive an activity statement

as part of your checking account statement dated May 13, 2016. If you do not normally cycle on May

13th, you may also receive a separate overdraft protection (ODP) billing statement in May. This statement is your bill and should be paid. If your account is set up on auto-pay, payments will continue to be automatically debited from your checking account. After conversion to our new core banking systems is complete, you will receive a separate ODP billing statement each month. The “Checkline” information will no longer be included with your checking account statement.

Q. Will the date of my HELOC or other Consumer Line of Credit payment change? A. Yes, there will be a slight change. Currently, your payment due date is the same date each

month. Beginning May 16, 2016, the payment due date may differ slightly from month to month. The statement period cutoff date will be set to a specific date of the month and the payment due date will be calculated to ensure that there are twenty-one (21) days until your payment is due.

Q. How will partial payments be applied to my Consumer Residential Mortgage Loan? A. Partial payments will be reflected on your monthly statements as “Unapplied Funds” and will not be

credited to the loan balance until the full amount of the scheduled payment is received. Complete payments not made by the due date will incur late charges on the full payment amount past due.

Q. Will online banking and bill payment change? A. Yes, online banking and bill payment will have a new look and feel. Please review the enclosed Guide on

our new Consumer eBanking (CeB) platform for important information on first time login instructions, transaction history, bill payment enrollment, bill payment limits, and eStatement enrollment.

Q. Can I still contact the Electronic Banking Department for help? A. Absolutely. We encourage you to contact our Electronic Banking Specialists with any questions you may

have before our conversion at (800) 350-3557 Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. PT and Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. PT. Beginning May 16th, support will be available twenty-four (24) hours a day, Monday through Sunday, excluding holidays.

Q. Will the telephone banking system change? A. There are some slight changes but you may still access our telephone banking system by calling 1-800-

654-7962. When you login on Monday, May 16, 2016 or thereafter, your existing Personal Identification Number (PIN) will have been reset to the last four (4) digits of your social security number. You will be prompted to change your PIN. Please listen to the menu carefully as it will have changed.
