Redundant power supply connection

You should apply the +12V redundant power supply to your device. Connect your device, using +12V and GND terminals to +12V and GND terminals of the redundant power supply.

Our redundant power supply (BPM1205N, BPM 12V 5A, BPM 12V 7A) has a CPW terminal designed for connection of main power monitoring bus. You can connect the CPW from your device to the CPW terminal of the power supply.

Make sure to disconnect the redundant power supply from the power, when you connect it to your device!

Wired zones connection

Connect your wired sensors to “+” and “-” terminals of your device.

• If you use sensors, powered only by zone terminals, you do not need any other connections.

• If you use sensors, which require an additional power supply, you can apply the voltage from 12 V & GND terminals on your Contact GSM 5-2, or keypad power terminals (+U, GND), or +12V, GND terminals in your power supply.

• If you want to use a resistive hard-wired zone, connect your sensors, according to the data sheets of your sensors. You can use resistors from 2 Ohm, up to 10 Ohm, and you can make a “fine-tuning” in the configuration software.

Open the “Loop properties” section in the configuration software.

You can configure each wired zone separately:

• Loop type (dry contact / resistive). If you will choose resistive zones, you can move the slider of the resistance.

• Number of zone• Normal condition (closed circuit / opened circuit)• Zone type• Number of Area• Event in case of triggering

Save changes, before you leave the current page.

Touch memory reader connection

Connect the Touch Memory reader to your device, by using the TM and GND terminals, according to the Data sheet of your TM reader. Also you can connect the LED of your TM reader to LED terminal of your Contact GSM-16.

Go to the “Touch memory keys” section in the configuration software.

Choose the “Touch Memory reader” in first field.

If you need, choose the indication of area status with external LED of Touch Memory reader. Choose areas for arming by Touch Memory reader.

You can apply your key to the Touch Memory reader and click “add key” to read the number of key and add the key automatically. After that you can choose the areas for arming by this Touch Memory key.

You can also add it manually if you know the code of your key. Click “Add manually” and type your code into the “Key code” field. Choose the areas for arming by this Touch Memory key

Connect your LCD keypad as shown on the picture.

Go to the “Keypads” section in the configuration software.

Wired keypad should be already connected to your device.

Click “add” and your keypad will be connected automatically. You will see it in the list.

Additional items connection

You can connect some additional items (i.e. siren, relay, etc.) to the terminals −OUT1+, −OUT2+, −OUT3+.

You have to use the external SPK circuit board (connect the -IN+ terminals of SPK circuit board to - OUT + terminals of Contact GSM-16). After that, connect your additional devices to the “Device” terminals.

Contact GSM-16. Terminals and Connections.

Go to the “Output terminals” section in the configuration software.

Here you can choose the terminal which you want to configure. You can make your Contact GSM-16 control the connection to an additional item, in case it is needed.
