able rich shooJt 01' tree milling ore was found on theH1dden ,'/" ,;. ::;" :::

Treasure ground about 500 to 550 teet South of the .: dil1ding

line betweenlt and the Monte Crlsto Mine. This was .taken out

and worked by crude processes and a great many thousands of

dollars extracted. It was ' to get under this rich shoot afore

that the 200 . tt. level of tm Monte Cristo W8S extel1c1ed South

but not far :: ~nough to reach it.

The :Mo·nte ~ Cristo 1s one of the famous properties in the

vicinity of Prescott. Its owners received nu.rmrousdlv1dends

from it durIng a period of f ten years. Not being able to work:

it themselves, ow1ng to their ages, they were rewarded w1th a

net sum ot from ten to twelve thous$ld dollars end others pre­

viously secu~ipg io the aggregate about fifteen tho~;,tllld dollars;

the beautlful.tiU;lsses and C:lusters of wire silver taken from the

mine he ve found their way ,'as specimens to many cabinets.

SILVER .&. GOIJ) 1 patented claim in Hassa­yampa district, Yavapai County. Developed by 400 foot shaft, 400 foot tunnel and other workings. Most of old workines now caved and inaccessible. Shear zones with quartz veins on foot and hang­j.ng walls. Both oxide and sulphide ore. Promising showings along surt'ace outcrops. Ore shoots are erratic, 1ihe high grade mostly lese than 1 root in width, the low grade 3 to 4 feet wide. Length and depth uncertain. Fair road, ~ mile fram highway. Substantial water supply in workings. Lease oper­ations since 1933 have produced few hundred tons of $40 ore. Will lease on 10% royalty and give option to purchase.
