We are in need of items to be donated to feed over 300 children the week of VBS. If you could donate an item or two it would be so very helpful. There are boxes in the lobby by The Hub for drop-off of snacks. The following items are needed:

Memorial Day is the last Monday in May. It is a day for remembering and honoring persons who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. We have many freedoms in our nation includ-ing the freedom to assemble and

Preschool Hub and new calendars will be mailed out for June. Several have rolled off our list, so we are going from 6 Teams to 5

Teams. Hopefully we can build up another 6th team again for the next school year. Wor-ship Care is a vital part of our church care within our children’s program. A huge thank you to ANY and ALL who have served

We will be collecting donations of the following NEW and UNUSED school supplies dur ing VBS W eek. Please

consider donating pencils, colored pencils, folders with prongs, markers, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, highlighters, index cards, pencil pouches, hand sanitizer or headphones.

IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED TO BUILDING AND GROUNDS PHASE II

The Operations Team would like to thank everyone who gave of their time, donations of equipment, and money to make much needed improvements in Phase I of our efforts to renovate our building and grounds.

Now we need to transition into Phase II to make repairs and improvements to the Sanctuary and other areas in Building 100. We need to raise approximately $50,000 to paint the Sanctuary, hallways, door frames, and also the cabinets in the restrooms. We need new carpet in the Sanctuary, hallways, and classrooms on the south wing. We are still using the original carpet placed in the church when it was built.

We realize this is a BIG undertaking, but we are going to trust God to provide the funds. He has already provided us with a family who is challenging us by offering to match the first $10,000 raised by the church family. So when we raise the first $10,000 we immediately have $20,000 so we will be well on our way to meeting our goal of $50,000. We will not start any of the work until we collect the full $50,000 as we do not want to continually disrupt the activities in Building 100 nor do we want to start something we cannot finish.

We are asking each family to pray about what you can give, but only above your regular tithes and offerings. Read 2 Chronicles 24 about the Chest of Joash, and if you have children, explain to them how King Joash used a chest to help raise money to repair God’s temple. We are going to place our Chest of Joash at the front of the Sanctuary for you to place your gifts in it, and it will be a great learning experience for our children to drop their pennies and nickels in to help repair God’s house by all working together.

Ladies' Summer Book Club starting Wednesday night, May 29th

During the summer we will be reading "And the Shofar Blew" by Francine Rivers. We will be reading

the book by chapters and then getting together on Wednesday nights to discuss what we read. Get your book and come join us on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm on May 29th for our first meeting. We will set
