The worship service is live-streamed in Heubach Chapel as an option for parents with young children

who would find that location helpful.

WORSHIP NOTEWe are thrilled to welcome musicians from Rogers Adventist School under the direction of Patti Short and student conductor Megan Schwark. It is always a joy when these young scholars share with us. Today we hear the Treble Choir, comprised of students in grades 3–6, and the Jr. High Bells.

The choral offertory consists of two pieces, sung in Hebrew and Latin. “Kol Han’shamah” presents Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” The composer, Robert Applebaum, spent a career alternating between music (composing and performing) and high school teaching (physics and chemistry) before retiring to focus on music composition. Rollo Dilworth is chair of music education and music therapy at Temple University in Philadelphia. “Exsultate Justi” forms a paraphrase of Psalm 33, and the translation is given below. As you prepare your heart to worship, please meditate on these words or on those of our hymns.

Rejoice in the Lord, O ye just:Praise is fitting for the upright.Give praise to God upon the harp,Play upon the ten-stringed psaltery.Sing to Him a new song.Sing skillfully with a strong voice.

-Kraig Scott
