ISO Containers are not just for shipping cargo any longer! The uses for modified shipping containers are endless. Traditionally less expensive than brick & mortar construction, containers are available

Control containers can be provided to temporary or permanent power plant installations that are installed around the globe. These control containers are an essential component in an overall plant layout as they ultimately house critical equipment such as relay protection panels, revenue grade power meters and a myriad of ancillary devices. The control containers also serve as the centralized location for the site engineers to monitor the SCADA systems and operate power generation equipment remotely through the automation network.

Power-Pak containers are utilized by customers who have a need to distribute electrical power to other containerized work cells that are performing different functions within a common work site. As shown, two incoming power sources are controlled by an automatic transfer switch, fed thru breaker type panelboards, and then into a bank of pin & sleeve devices of various amperage ratings.

Laboratory containers like this one provide an environmentally controlled working space for field personnel conducting sample testing. Options include welded, aircraft grade aluminum flooring, removable end wall, full wipe-down surfaces, efficient LED lighting with emergency backup drivers, safety shower, and a hand sink with hot & cold running water. Channel strut in the floor, walls and ceiling provides secure attachment provisions for equipment.

in many standard sizes and anyone with a need for additional space for their equipment or process capacity can appreciate a customized container solution by Craftsmen Industries.

Craftsmen’s Modular Battery Storage System (MBSS) is a shippable containerized solution utilizing racks of lithium ion batteries to store and condition power for a variety of different power management solutions. The Common uses for the MBSS are power conditioning and UPS for large generators, power step-down for large solar arrays, and night-time power for solar driven grids.

Craftsmen’s oversized NEMA 3R UPS equipment center is a self-contained power management system. The structure is robustly built from the ground up with 100 percent non-combustible components to cater to the needs of over-sized redundant UPS systems. These time tested lead-acid UPS systems load balance and condition power from multiple generators as well as grid power. This system is factory-build, factory-loaded then site-delivered; saving time, money and protecting valuable equipment. The UPS equipment center features dual HVAC system, fire protection system, grid-tied alarm system, and security lighting.

Diesel Power Generator Package for offshore use in the Gulf of Mexico to power a maintenance hydraulic power unit (HPU); Taylor Power Genset with prime rating of 540kW, 480VAC installed in a modified 20 Ft DNV 2.7-1 Container along with a 1000 Gal. UL142 Double Wall Fuel Tank. Package sound level achieved 85 dBa at 3 feet using roof mounted air intake penthouse with motorized dampers, interior insulation, air discharge front turning plenum with sound module, super-critical grade exhaust silencer with spark arrestor, and vertical extension with rain cap. Finish was high-performance marine paint.

Permanent & portable PDCs for small or major applications can be accommodated in a similar containerized power distribution center. Switchgear and associated bus equipment can be housed in a standard transport container, relieving lifting and handling concerns often present with prefab enclosures. Thermal insulation, sound-proofing and/or poured aggregate flooring options are some of many options available to the designer.
