1. Contents page Research This contents page is from the music
magazine Kerrang! It has the a label at the top of the page
indicating that it is the contents page. It then has a big picture
of a musician, indicating the main article followed by smaller
pictures of other stories and then a list summarising all articles
in the magazine. By having this size hierarchy of articles it is
affective in delivering a summary of the contents of the magazine.
It features a label saying contents. This contents page has a label
saying 'Features' I feel this is affective as it enables the reader
to locate what they want to read quickly. This page also has a big
picture showing the main article. This is a good idea because if
someone were to flick open the magazine they would instantly see
what the magazine has to offer. This is the contents page from a
NME magazine. It features two side bars, one with a 'band index' on
it, this informs the readers of all of the bands that are featured
in the magazine. And the other side bar has categories of articles
and then page numbers for the articles in those categories. A
really good part of this contents page is the box that sells
subscriptions to the magazine, as this can help make profit for the
magazine. The contents page follows a black and yellow colour
theme. This is a contents page from the music magazine Q. This is
the contents from the music magazine Vibe. It features a big
picture of the musician Kanye West, this is used to sell the
magazine as he is a very infljuencial mainstream musicain therefore
a lot of people will appreciate an article based on him, him being
the main picute shows that he is in the main article too. To the
side of Kanye there is a small box of text displaying the features
of the magazine. They have labelled the page so that readers will
know it is a contents page. This is a contents page by the music
magazine Mojo. It's main features are that it has the magazines
name on it and it has a collage of pictures to do with the
contents. It has the contents shown on the right. D:Contents page

2. Deduction of Research
What I learnt from my research:
Most contents pages have a large picture of a feature in the
main article.
A label saying 'Contents' is useful at the top of the
page.
The contents of the magazine should be displayed under
categories on one side of the page.
Other features and possible sell lines should be placed around
the cover.
