Admission Criteria
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or better in all college course work
• Completion of ENGL101 equivalent (ENG1010)
• Completion of a distributive studies course in Humanities/Arts or Social/Behavior Sciences
• Completion of the following with a 2.0 or better– Equivalent of MATH141 (MTH1210)– Equivalent of PHYS161 (PHY1210)– Equivalent of CHEM113 (CHE1210/1210L)– Only one of these courses can be repeated and can only be repeated
once

Still want your AS degree?
• Students can transfer credits from UMD back to CSM to complete the requirements for an AS
• AS requires 12 credits of CORE; student transfer 9 to UMD from CSM
• AS requires 9 credits of technical electives; students transfer all 9 – Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Linear Algebra, &Thermodynamics
What Happens Now?
• Apply to the University of Maryland as a transfer student
• One on one advising at CSM, La Plata campus on Wednesday, March 4, 2009
• Attend an Orientation Session at UMD
• Start Summer Courses as a new UMD student
